What do you guys prefer? Quests that are unlimited or quests that are limited (IE: 10 a day)...Why do you prefer one over the other?

I don't like being limited so I usually prefer unlimited quests over anything - as it'll help you earn the site's currency and you'll play the site for more hours.

Unlimited! That's what I liked about Marapets - It's what I did most of the time I was there.

Limited, if unlimited quests are given, it can upset the economy.

Depends. Unlimited have the charm of keeping you entertained for longer and getting you more money, but they can also upset the economy if not handled right.

How can they upset the economy though? If its done right, then it shouldn't. As long as you keep the rewards good - and the items that it asks for simple (common and rare), then there shouldn't be a problem, right?

Auto-Questers can be made, a person could just run it all day with no restraint, and the database would be flooded with items.

Well, not really. You can add verification to the quests page itself - and the code only generates if you're on the quests page.

There are very few CAPTCHAs that can't have an OCR counterpart made for them, so in-reality CAPTCHAs are really ineffective, I think the best one right now is the one used by MSN and Yahoo, and even it is "readable". You can store cookies using a simple class and parsing data recieved from a winsock/inet contril in just about any language, so the code is easily generated.

I see, so there isn't a fix to block out the programs from abusing "unlimited-quests" systems?

Not really, as long as there is a will to cheat the system, there is a way. Programming is built to be as flexible as possible, it can be both a good, and bad thing at times.

It all really depends if you can keep a good economy balance with limited quests, go straight ahead, but if you can keep the same with no limit, go ahead too! Both are good.:)
