Veteran players (users) quiting Marapets?

What do you guys think about the veteran players quiting Marapets? Will they ever come back?
Who else do you know has quit Marapets that was/is a veteran player?

I quit not because this game bores me, and not because I'm too good at this game, it is because I feel that I have been addicted to playing this kind of games for so long, and it is pointless. I feel that it is having a great hold over me, and I wasted my time playing this, instead of doing other constructive and meaningful things in real life. I may be back to just read the news to see how mara is improving, but one thing for sure is that I will not be back to play again. Don't miss me, good luck with your life :)

I know of a veteran that quit, Me!

I left for about a year and now I came back but mostly lurk since a lot of my friends left.

Mara´s tiring now and boring.
It used to be so awesome and so much fun, now it´s just bleh

Im considering quitting, been playing for almost 3 years, its gotten boring :/
After I sell all my junk and get at LEAST 100M pure, and my seasonal costume, then ill quit

I know the one you are talking about in your first post will never come back (full time). Mara is beginning to get boring, and the reason most people are quitting, is because of all their friends getting banned. And many of them have been banned for abusing glitches. I know they shouldn't be abusing the glitch in the first place, but then again, it seems Ian should get it fixed before it caused as many people to be banned as it did. Not only people getting banned, but a lot of people are quitting because no one ever listens to us. If we say anything that criticizes Mara on the forums, it gets deleted within seconds. Yet you can report something that is actually bad, it takes hours to be deleted.

I've been considering quitting myself, I think the only thing that has kept me there this long is my club. When the petsite I work for opens up, I probably will quit Mara. I don't know for sure yet.

Exactly.
On the forums in mara, you can´t say one bad thing critizising the site or giving ideas to make it better because you get yelled at by n00bs and it gets deleted in seconds.
About 98% of my friends, I can honestly say have quit or have been frozen. Especially the role players when the no dorm/dating rule came out, some got really pissed about that.
I also hate all these little trends in Mara that ruin the forums with pointless threads while good interesting ones get buried, and then you can't bring it back because of grave digging and you get yelled at again.
Mara used to be a fun place to go and hang out and have interesting conversations, now it's just a place full of pointless threads about zac efron and miley cyrus(or however you spell it)
I wish it was still how it was before, so what if there weren't a million members? Is it numbers that truly matter or is it how people feel about the site?
The oldest members have been some of the most loyal ones and I would think Ian would want to make them happy.

I basically quit trying to find friends on there - I notice that a lot of members are selfish, and once you get to know them they have somewhat ugly personalities, plus not to be steryotypical, but a lot of the newer members have little to no respect for anyone
so I understand completly for their quitting

I dont know, its just being over-run by people with no manners, and loads of beggers, I cant post a topic without a bunch of people begging me for my items, pets, mps etc.

Yeah, I don't see or feel any point to mara anymore, all my old friends left and basically its boring now, and I can't be on the forum anymore cause of the idiots that mail asking me for my MP/pets/items.
I don't think anyone bothers to read anymore, otherwise they would see my blog.
The spam forum is turning into the fashion show forum and is no longer fun.
