Well, as the title says, which codes did you learn first?
I learnt HTML first, but just as a course. I wasn't interested in the cool thing you could do with it.
I was just around 7 that time. But, then when i was 12, i wanted to learn it. So, i bought a book for reference and also of course w3schools helped me a lot.
Now, i'm planning to learn some php. I know the basics, but i want to learn the advanced coding. And also, i'd love to learn a bit of CSS as well!

Basic & DarkBasic! When I was 6 there was a book fair which had books on the language, aswell as CD tutorials and compilers. So I decided to learn those languages.
Then HTML, then PHP. Yay!

I started off learning a little bit of visual basics. It's not web-oriented though. It's a language for making programs. My first web oriented language was php. I'm fully self taught in every language I know. I learned from just editing open source stuff. I got a jump start on php by buying the kronikpet scripts when jordan first started selling them.
I started getting into it all when I was around 12 and picked up on it quite fast.

I started with HTML, then learned some CSS with that, now I'm learning/using PHP/MySQL.
This all started because of Neopets (With their HTML guide)

HTML and CSS aren't considered programming languages but I learned them first, valid XHTML and CSS back when I was like 10 or so. Then, I learned VB6.0/NET / Python, after that, PHP/MySQL and Javascript.

HTML/XHTML, CSS, PHP&MYsql, XML, VBA, Actionscripting, Lingo, AJAX
at one point I started C#, C++ and delphi but then I met actionscripting and lingo :D
Hmmh, the first code I learned..
Morse code ;]
But as in computer lagnuages, HTML.
I did some HTML, XTML, Jave and some other courses but I can´t seem to grasp it.
I´m really interested in programming but
1. I suck at it ,can´t seem to learn
2. No site to test it on..
I´m only 13 so maybe in a few years I´ll learn
I have only grasped HTML because of my HTML for Dummies book

Well CSS is different then HTML. CSS is strictly for styling and HTML is the Markup Language to build pages.

A version of Basic. Later on, I started learning programming more methodically in college. I took, Java, C and then picked up different languages later on ...

HTML --> Visual Basic --> Java --> Javascript --> C --> SQL --> PHP
I am now planning on learning about JSP, ASP and python :D

PS - I believe it would be better titled "What Programming Languages did you learn first?"...because they are their own languages...the 'codes' = what you write in the language

I learned HTML first (thank you neopets and your pet pages for sparking my interest in that sort of thing xD), and I've learned a little bit of CSS. I really want to learn PHP some day, though ;D
i learned c++ first (at school) than html, php and css.

BASIC. I still recall doing procedural programs with those numbered lines. Right now it is a combination of procedural and object oriented.
I started by BASIC. That days, there even wasn't Dos Screen which is black always. It was "Commodore". There were only a few meaningful colored games. I remember some BASIC codes such as "go to". they were really hard too handle.

I learned Basic, then I think started HTML, GML, Visual Basic, and always learning new things like JavaScript, PHP etc.. I don't remember the correct order coz I know too many to remember the order.

I started with Basic when I was very young (around 7 or 8) and made text based games. Later I learned C++, then HTML and then Perl.
