Ya, google gets a ton of traffic so if your site ranks #1 for a certain keyword (that's popular), then you should get a lot traffic.

No, it doesn't. All you need is a website. Backlinks help your site rank #1. The more sites that link to you, the more chances you have of ranking #1.

Word of .... erm. typing of keys.... if someone writes a good review about your petsite on a widely viewed blog people will get curious and sign up. Also posting here is a good way too
