View Full Version : Subeta going downhill?

Am I the only one that feels this way? It seems to me that Subeta has been going downhill ever since the "longcat" issue and once they added the new servers - things still aren't getting done. Users are still unable to access their accounts, such as; myself. I've tried the lost password feature and contacted staff - but yet they still don't want to reset my password for me.

Sure, Subeta continues to strive with new content on a daily basis, but its lack of user-support and response to support emails never seems to amaze me. So, do you think Subeta is going downhill or is it getting better?

Subeta went downhill as soon as Ender started running the show for Keith, and as soon as the artists started forming against each other. That's why myself, Alex, and David left. Now us three, and various (kind) subeta artists are working on Daxitove to "put the nail in the coffin" sotospeak on Subeta, and show them that our ideas, and our skills are not to be taken for granted.

Didn't David get fired :X? On one forum, they were calling for his name, though, out of all the admins, David was really helpful to me when i had some issues. He's also cool to talk to on AIM :) So r u tho vivacity ;D PHPPHPHHELPECHO!???

Anyway, User-Support was quite instant for me when i contacted them about my account exploding. Took a day i think to sort it out. I don't like alot of the staff anyway, alot of them are angry agro teenagers with shit-all to do accept be rude and ignore you. Though- with that being said, there are some gems in that staff list.

Who is Ender?

Eh, I got fired awhile back from subeta when there was a lot of crap going on between artists. It flared up again when there were mass firings (ie: Sooki, Inversitle, etc etc). I dont think subeta is going down hill in terms of users, but I think there's a lot going on in the background that we dont know about. *shrugs* I just look at neocolours for the art and stay away from any subeta drama.

At this point, I actually hope some company buys it.

I think neo tried to buy it out but keith said no. Or maybe it was the lawsuit thing. But Keith wont give it up considering how much he makes a month. For awhile, before he stopped calling donations 'donations' and before it became cash shop, he was using the money to pay for his apt. So yeah, he's not going to give it up D: But wutev, I wouldn't give it up either, but I would take care of things differently. I've heard horror stories about staff and how they act D:

Seems to me like subeta has always had staff alliances and such. I have come to believe it's just something humans do (I see it all over TV and in school and even on other petsites). I don't like it but I'm probably guilty of it myself.

edit--> Also, the thing about subeta making a bit of money now is why I never offer ideas to petsites anymore. If they want something drawn they must describe exactly what they want so that it requires no imagination/creation on my part (unless it's something generic like an apple). That way when they are making bundles and I'm making squat I don't feel used because it wasn't my idea.

Despite Subeta having a rough time, I do think some of the nicer staff are trying to come out and be a bit more friendly with users, which I think is good. Subeta's good point was it's willingness to communicate with it's userbase.

I knew Keith for awhile, before he started Subeta, and how he started Subeta. The site deserves worse than they've had so far. If you're not gay, emo, or haven't got a crush on Keith, then you're simply not going to fit in. Those that do fit in, seem to be blind as to what goes on, and that's what's the worst part about Subeta.

I haven't been to the site for a long time now, so it may have changed. But from what I've read, it doesn't sound like it has.

It's not losing it's fame because no one will shut up about it. Be it infamous or famous, it'll gain profit. If it becomes unknown, it'll die like it deserves. It's really not that good. It's just a generic pet site. Nothing special about it. The artwork ain't even that great. It's so generic it makes me want to hurl. The site will die eventually.

I believe that was just a rumor, but Neopets did try to sue them over one of their pets' names.

I think I recall an instance where neo threatened subeta about selling canis related stuff (such as t-shirts) because they believed it looked too much like whatever that rabbit pet on neo is.

Heh, I would have thought that it would be a dispute over the Aerie.

i think they are going downhill considering all the time they are down. It has potential to be a multimillion dollar company!

No, I don't think it is going down hill, despite some rumors and remarks being spat out by a handful of angry people or jealous people for different reasons. Won't go into why though. And they aren't down all the time despite what some claim. But if it starts getting Neopets bad, then I will change my opinion

You are right. They seem like less popularity if compare to the early day.

Oh! so sad that you had a bad experience before. Service is a very significant factor for a business to be success and stay longer. The best service can attract more visitors and at the same time retain the old members.

I used to play Subeta until they froze me because me and my sister play on the same computer. I tried contacting them a bunch of times (they said email them at so and so if you think the freezing was unruly) but they never really replied. As to what I Stole This Account said, it's true, because most of the users who fit in that aren't emo, or gay have no idea what's going on, they just look forward to the next new color or next cute item x/

All I can tell from users on nc is that subeta is extreeeemely slow. I don't know if it's because of switching servers (It's been over a week though) or if Keith just got a not so great server, but if that doesn't improve, I can see a lot of people being upset, especially since there was that whole debate during the 4chan thing about subeta paying bare minimum for servers when they make thousands a month.

Yes, Subeta has slowed down throughout this past year. It all started with the 4chan and then it started declining. I hope it goes back to normal.

Subeta's a really great site, but I agree with the lack of user support and usually automated replies.

Keith just mentioned on news about buying new servers. I wonder if he knew that this was going to happen or not D:
