The Graphics on Powerpets has been improving steadily. Many of the old items are currently being re-drawn. More animated .gif pictures have also been released. With the use of flash, the art on Powerpets is getting better with each update.
Powerpets Art: 7/10

The Neopets graphics are stunning and amazing - with many worlds drawn out. The graphics for items are also getting better - at least better than when it was first released.
Neopets Art: 9/10

The staff on Powerpets are friendly and often spend time on the boards interacting with the people. In fact, they are often kept busy with new projects on Powerpets. The overall management of the Staff and Moderators has been excellent. Kudos to that. Rules there are strict but they are created to increase the user-friendliness on the site as well as the overall content.
Powerpets Staff and Administration: 9/10

Neopets staff are inefficient in whatever they do. They impose tight laws on boards that make it virtually impossible to post freely. In simple terms, the staff are crap. Mismanagement and frequent icing of accounts for no particular reason at all has led to their downfall in this area.
Neopets Staff and Administration: 0/10

Powerpets has limited games and limited creativity in their games. However, they have adopted various other games and customized them as their own (eg. Deal or no Deal). This generates excitement within players.
Powerpets Games: 5/10

Neopets has a wide array of games. Although the game medal displayed on every page is rather redundant, the games are fun-filled with cool graphics and nice objectives. It is definitely Neopet's strongest point to make up for their crappy administration.
Neopets Games: 10/10

Powerpets has various quests available for each player to do. They are time-based quests with great rewards. They are rather unique in a sense that their mascots are involved in most of the quests. These quests are one of the main ways to make money in Powerpets. There are also monthly events like Team Wars to determine the next elder after the death of the previous one. City Contests are also very popular amongst the people. However, the monotony of quests might be irking the players - same style each time. Perhaps we'll be expecting something different when the Butterfly Project is released :)
Powerpets Activities: 9/10

Neopets has many activities - too many that you can't plan and complete all in one day. This can prove to be very demoralising. There are many quests available but almost all are hard for a beginner who has just joined the site. This isn't good for the economy at all. The Altador Cup is the also the result of poor management in recent years. But they've since improved on it to make it better and more transparent. More beginner guides are expected of Neopets.
Neopets Activities: 4/10

Powerpets' pets can now die. Yes - true to what has been said about neglecting your pets. This creates a touch of realism in a virtual world. There are also many unique colours to colour your pet in. Each fur tonic has various patterns and colours. There are also minis (19 of them) that your pets can play with. They are crossbreeds of 2 animals. The most recent one is where pets can actually manage restaurants, own industries and help in the building of houses.
Powerpets Virtual Pet System: 8/10

Neopets is a vibrant site with many pets that can be adopted. These are cute pets that are far from the realistic world. However, just as frivolous as the administration system, the pets there don't die - as they claim otherwise. Besides paint brushes are hard to get and locations are sometimes undisclosed unless a beginner checks guides or searches for Neopets Cheats.
Neopets Virtual Pet System: 8/10

The Powerpets Boards are often active. Even ordinary players are there to help beginners.
Community: 10/10

Neopets is horrendous. All I have to say about their strict laws about posting that can get you iced. Most use the forum to brag their avatars. (I was once a moderator and we conducted a small survey out of the site) :P

Powerpets: 41/60

You send them a message, they usually replied, Whenever I send in an Idea, I will always get a reply within the next day.

If you say that about Powerpets, then Neopets should get 10/10.

Neopets is VERY active, there are alot of members willing to help others, you will usually never see a topic in the help forum unanswered.
I'll give it a 7/10 Because of spam.

Might make things clearer if you actually categorized what you were rating, such as Artwork: Powerpets blahblahblah score 7/10, Neopets blahblah 10/10. Support: Powerpets blahblah 10/10, Neopets blah 0/10. I honestly had no idea what you were comparing in the last few sections.

And where do they claim that Neopets can die? I believe I've actually seen them state the contrary multiple times, though I can't remember where. And as for whether or not pets dying is a good thing... well, that's opinion. So is everything else, but still. Personally, I'd rather they didn't die. Sometimes you just can't get on to take care of them due to life, etc., and then you come back and they die, even when it's not your fault? But then, I don't normally play games for the realism anyway. ;)

Decent enough review, I suppose, although you're going to hear different stories about the support. They've never ignored me, nor have they banned me for any reason. Remember that you're speaking for yourself or a certain group of people is all I can say.

I totally agree with this... On the neopets board, the place is really cold. The powerpets board only has one 'dead' period (3-4AM)PP time. By dead I mean that there are less than 15 people chatting on the boards.

It is true I wouldn't like Pets to die too ;)
However, as I've already mentioned, I was part of the moderating team. Does your account have lots of money or Adam's Avatar, or both? These are very important factors before 'we' actually consider banning your accounts.
I mean - i don't see any purpose in banning your accoutn if you have little or nothing inside in the first place.

You've made quite a number of reasonable points. Powerpets indeed does not cater to different tastes. Those who prefer realistic games will like this ;)

My only comment here is that the community can change from time to time, which is why on my review I did not bother going into specifics. Basing a rating on something that is quite volatile isn't a good idea.
