I am planning to host a website::indian. Which language do you prefer me to design the website. I know HTML very well and JAVA script a little:D. Is there any other language will be more useful to me. If you know refer me......::clap

PHP but i think that you could make a blog.. it's much better choice because it's easier, you'll need low hosting space, and if you get a good subject there, you could have duzen of visitors.

I prefer PHP based web hosting because it is affordable. Besides references for developing PHP websites are everywhere online. Also, there are open source PHP scripts which I can use for my own website.

PHP, JavaScript and CSS is what I recommend.

Well the most powerful language I experimented so far is PHP.. although there are others like Pearl.. but some hosts won't host it.

Most hosts allow Perl but it is a pain to setup and only executes in the cgi-bin. Your permissions have to be spot on or it will fail with a 500 internal server error.

PHP.
JSP / Java is a great language, but not all web hosting packages offer JSP / Java hosting option. You need to pay extra.
