We all know Subeta has been surrounded by a lot of controversy from the "longcat" issue to firing their artists for no reason... So in this thread we'll discuss Subeta and if it crashed today - what would you do? Where would you go?

If Subeta crashed today I wouldn't care much because they never reset my password for me and plus everytime I try to get on, it loads so slow.

So, if Subeta crashed today would you do?

If Subeta was gone for good? I would be in shock, lol. I would probably stay away from pet sites for a while, because in my eyes none of them are anywhere near as good as Subeta.

Why aren't any of the other pet sites as good as Subeta? What does Subeta have that other pet sites don't?

I just love everything about Subeta. It's unique, pretty easy to make sP, I love the community (I kind of feel like a family with the people on Subeta's forums). Everyone's really nice and always willing to help, they have gorgeous artwork, the pets are adorable, Subeta is one of the only sites that doesn't really care what you talk about on their forums (as long as you aren't posting anything offensive, too sexual, or cussing). I adore the human avatars, and trick-or-treating. I could go on, but you already get the point. ;)

Ya, I get the point.. What did you think about the longcat issue though?

I thought it was funny, actually. The whole thing happened during the time when I was kind of sick of pet sites and took a break from Subeta, and every other pet site as well. I didn't even know about it until I saw topics about it on VPL. I'm glad I wasn't on during the raids, lol.

I think Keith is extremely stubborn, and Anon is just plain childish. It could have been handled better by both of them.

I'll agree with you on this one Shiny. However, you must remember these raids conducted by the 4Chan knock-off sites formed by users banned off of 4Chan; and the /b/tards. I don't know if Keith and the owner of 4Chan could have achieved anything with the knock-off sites still on the net. It probably would've been pointless.

As for the firing of staff, Sooki should have either given her six weeks notice and just quit if she wanted work somewhere else. She made an agreement, and she breached that when she did work on another site. She also should have asked if it was okay to do work on another site too. She admits to having a great paying job in her journal when asked, so her actions don't make any sense.

And many of them just up and quit as well. Also after talking to a user, who was gone for a long time after someone on staff took her invention of a baby phoenix as their own, and her idea for a scorpion pet without due credit; maybe some were actually fired possibly for knowing this went on. Just maybe for knowing, and not speaking up about this.

But then they all would have egg on their face if they posted that news on the site, and for taking so long to do something about it.

But if the site were gone, I would just go on to hang out at Retro Junk, Gaia, and interact more on Waja's forums since none of the pet sites I'm interested in are currently open.

If you read in her journal, she was also not getting paid. Good reason to leave I think.

Also, if subeta died, it'd just come back. It would have no affect on me at all. There are sites that are just as good but have to grow.
