Hi, my name is Baco. I have been programming for a variety of different pet sites in the past few years. I have created many scripts which include the following (basically everything) they are all fully functional -

Registration
Login
News
Trades
Bank
Battle
Training
Games
Mail system
Main shops
User shops
Quests
Random Events
Inventory
Safety Deposit

yeh yeh yeh...i can go on...Anyways if you want to hire me you must have the following -

-A purchased domain along with hosting (either an up or running pet site, or a pet site just beginning to start)
-I must be able to have access to the control panel along with phpmyadmin...ftp account would help also..

Yeah private message me if you are interested in me.

I am looking for a bit of pay.

One, why can't you just install a host on your computer, like apache2triad (http://apache2triad.net) I think... And if they don't want to give you access then just give the the MySQL export script and the php codes?

Two, any live examples?

Because it is easier to work and what if they\'re not on. I dont feel like waiting for them. Its more convenient.

There is a program otu there called easyphp:
http://www.easyphp.org/telechargements.php3

It basically installs everything you need for web server on your PC. You don't need access to their CP nor their PHPadmin. You can just ask for a backup of there database or the tables you need to create your scripts. Also, using this method (developing the scripts on your PC rather than their server) will save them bandwidth and lessen the risk of screwing up their useful tables.

Honestly, people here have gave you many ideas and your starting to seem like a shady person.

If you have coded all of them, what site are they on?

Not quite sure. A friend of minds told me no when I asked him, but I am not too surei f he even knew. Besides, if you want to host your site off your PC, you can just download each program yourself, install them, and run your own web server from your PC; that's all easyphp does anyway. Here, take a gander at this:

Although, I don't recommend you hosting your site if you intend on having a site with more than 10 active people xD I believe the Windows OS only allow a max of 10 connections to your PC at once, meaning anyone else who comes will be rejected. You could always spend about 2k for their net server OS though xD Or install Linux instead (not entirely sure of Linux can be used as a web server. I will do research for that maybe later next month before I purchase my own server).

Using your computer as a webhost is not entirely recommended because it will slow you down to the point where you will either have to shut down your computer or kill the site in order to do anything. It's also not recommended unless you have a connection that runs atleast 20 MB/s download/upload.

It's much better to pay the $15 or so a month and have a hosting company host the website for you. Trust me, I had a few people browsing a website I had made on my computer with XAMPP and I couldn't do anything until they left my site and my bandwidth was restored. I'm running on 4 GB of RAM a 420 GB harddrive and a 100 MB/s connection speed.

That's all I got to say :P.

The max Internet speed is for the home connection is 6M or 12M cable. That's roughly 600-1200Kbps download and 60-120Kbps upload, theoretically.

erapets already has the connections with offlife hosting I am very good friends with the co-owner there so that is where we are currently hosted but once it opens we will switch to a dedicated server. I want to run my own server in the future thats whyI wanted to see if it was a good idea to run hosting on my computer.
