Who should I go ahead and mail to see if I can get my account data restored?

Have you tried to use the lost password feature?

Have you tried to use the lost password feature?

That doesn't really help that I can get into my account, just a few things are missing from it.

One of the user-admins on the help page.

Just go ahead and pick one...?

I'm mailed a User Admin...So far no response. I'm not surprised with the lag that it did not get through.

Yeah, it's a bit borked right now...I bet a certain owner is mad they fired someone now considering he did alot of work trying to get accounts back.

Ah...Well I'm not sure if that person who was fired has access to the very old backups...If anyone does for that matter.

Well last time they said they would reload my data back in June, but it was never done.

Yeah, when that was said they had a terrible estimate of how many accounts were lost, they thought like 50 when it was much bigger.

Bwah, any of the programmers should be able to help, asking a UA to help wouldn't hurt either. If you want me to help like ask a UA or programmer I'd be glad to.

Anyone that you would know that has access to a backup sometime around March or so is all I need. Providing that they do keep archives that old...With the age of DVD+-R I would think it is possible.

The UA is still offline, so I hope they might get to me tomorrow. -shrug-

The only thing of actual loss to me would be my blue Kumos, but without my original pet I'm at a loss to playing a game that I know is not...I think the term is stable.

I believe the UA either is too busy or ignored me. I'll try again later on.

Don't mail a programmer. Chances are if you do, they will bite your head off, they aren't exactly user friendly.

Any of the UAs should be able to help you if they finally got the backups they were supposed to get months ago. Personally I think Dokuja and SierraMist are the two best UAs on staff right now, both are on a lot and usually quick to respond to mails...

SierraMist was the UA I contacted yesterday, she has not replied. Unfortunately since my outbox is empty, chances are Subeta crashed while I was sending it...

I've mailed another UA. This one responded this time.

Why is it so difficult to ask for a data override? They're wording it like it would be some sort of augmentation.

Nevertheless, when Blizzard made a grave error on World of Warcraft, they restored items on a Paladin that were lost with no questions asked. Subeta has denied my request for restoration, so I'm going to self freeze it for the time being.

Yeah I agree they're a bit....grumpy.

There was supposed to be a good reason for not restoring items but I don't remember why. I believe it might have something to do with the mass of users that found their accounts and things gone.

All I had as a blue Kumos. I couldn't see why they could not override my account with the backup, rather than me telling them that I knew my pet did not exist in the database. When Subeta was hacked, my pet was deleted, not pounded.

Plus they were talking to me like they were going to augment my account, not repair it. Totally different matter.

Whenever I get around to unfreezing it tomorrow, I am going to specifically state my problems and that I asked for a repair, not a modification. Being punished for doing nothing wrong is a bunch of bologna if you ask me.

Now granted, I understand when I was asked for the names of the pets I created and pounded on Neopets on the account I self froze three times, I understood you need to prove ownership when bringing an account back online. In this case, I still feel that Subeta's administrators should of taken the time and looked at all accounts before and after the attack and use the backups as necessary. I don't think it is that hard to fit a backup of an entire site on a DVD, especially with only one hundred and fifty thousand members.
