Server Maintanance

VPL will be down from approximately 10pm tonight until tomorrow afternoon at noon-ish. This is scheduled downtime where we will be working on the server so hopefully it will run better afterwards.

Virtual pet list is going down in just a few hours, so if you're not aware of us going down for maintenance yet, then you do now! While we're down, keep checking back and see how much faster we are. If you don't notice a different in speed, then please let us know.

You won't be able to access the site at all during this time. Once its over, we should be faster but we will still be on the same server so don't expect a whole lot :P

Ugh, I have no idea. I usually don't use this, but got it into my room so I could be on MSN and stuff here.

Well basically. It's pretty annoying though, because it's taking up a lot of space on my desk. AND, when I click links, say, on MSN, it freezes the screen rofl.

But it's great to be able to show friends my room, and it's also more cozy to sit in my own room I guess:P

Dang, that sucks. I believe there's someone here on the boards that could help you fix the rpoblem with your computer. Have you tried making a thread in the general chat forum (http://www.virtualpetlist.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=3) and see if anyone can help you? I know EBK has an old computer but he makes it run fast.

If I want to be on a pet site for like an hour+, I usually go to our quicker computer xD

It's a Pentium II that we got used for eighty dollars. It is, at the least, eleven years old and runs Windows 98. It's not that bad, though. The last computer I had in here only ran DOS and 5.25 inch floppy disks.

The site is running slightly faster for me (I notice it more on my Wii), although it was generally pretty fast before.

All though these days u can pickup a Windows XP full pc for about $400 :p
