It looks too...fake. I mean you would expect them to use their pets in the site page. Not some random dragons you found on google. It doesn't look like a pet site. It looks like a cheap freewebs page.

Are people mature?
Do staff listen, and are they friendly?
Do we get frozen if we speak against staff?(I never liked sites where you cant speak your mind).
Does the site owner interact with users?
Do you intend on becoming a faceless corporation like neopets or do you want a site where staff and users live side by side?

The layout shown is one of the optional layouts you can choose from.
It is not the main one -- the main one is a traditional, "bubbly anime bright colors" style.

i was more wondering if you could make one that might show what the site is about, cause there is shows it might be a magical dragon site and not a petsite :s:s. i do know what i talk about ... and i wouldn't make that my layout xD. it might be a nice layout, but nothing todo with the petsite you are making.

Well aren't we mature. Actually you tried to defend yourself when it would've been easier to say "thanks for you opinion" and kept it to yourself. But you know, it takes some people longer to grow up and accept opinions longer than others.

i kind of agree, it just like theres two very plastic looking dragons stuck at the top. Also it seems it really does not fit in with the rest of your site what so ever.

The pets, from what I've read and seen, are cartoony, it's not whether they have to be or not, they already are. It's the layout that is incongruent and thus the bone of contention.

It is important to have meshing styles, or it will look like the site's graphics were pulled from wherever images could be found. Far from saying that's what happened, just saying that that might be how it will come across to certain people, as indeed it already has.

Hmm... While I can appreciate the effort, I think I might be one of the people that can't get past the realistic looking layout combined with the cartoon style pets. If I joined that site and saw that realistic dragon layout, I would want and expect to be able to adopt one of those realistic dragons. Even if it is just an optional layout, it might be best to have the creatures portrayed in it actually appear in the game.

That is just my opinion, however. The layout and the pets on their own look rather nice, but I just can't quite see them being put together and still being aesthetically pleasing.

A little suggestion - change the font. Verdana is WAY to overused and it looks like crap when it's bolded. A nice bolded font is trebuchet ms(in my opinion).
