How much money do you make monthly from your virtual pet website.

Hello everyone I was just curious how much money you make monthly from your virtual pet website and where the main source of income comes through. You don't have to be exact but you could say "high XX" or "low XXX" "X,XXX" etc. and what source(s) are the income coming from.

Google ads pull in good money. If a petsite has them on and is fairly active they can make a few hundred dollars a month. Most people running petsites barely stay above board because they do not put ads up or have a hard time getting people to pay for the extra features (whatever it is) that they may be selling.

Powerpets rakes in enough to pay 2 people's salaries, we dont even need to talk about neopets, and places that are mid-level (like petnebula, rescreatu) probably make a couple hundred. A lot of petsite owners invest profits back in to teir sites, also.

My site makes a different amount of money each month, really depending on what happens. A lot of it gets reinvested as well. I share my Google Adsense account with all of my sites, so I couldn't be sure what I made from my VPS alone, as Google's Channel system is very confusing.

(Funny, my Google tool bar's spelling checker.. marks Google as miss-spelled. haha)

Unless the site gets big enough to become a public corporation, then they need quarterly reports :D

Very true, but as previously stated, how much anyone makes is generally very private information.

who said it was profit? we reinvest about 97% of it

Well our hosting costs over $300 a month and we rarely cover that from the site alone. But it's not about the money in my opinion. :)
