What do you think would happen if troops left iraq?

The title is the question. I believe that if troops did leave, the USA would be in great danger from terrorist. We gotta get rid of em while we are over there. If they come back home, we can't stop them.

I agree in one sense but not in the other to be honest, yes if troops where pulled it could put US and UK in more danger of terrorist attacks which I for one would have to see happen, however, neither US or UK are winning the war over there and it's just ending up like a Vietnam war to be honest, many deaths on either side but no win.

I think that if the troops are not pulled soon then in the end we will run out of troops and in the end we will have no choice.

If US and UK want to stop terrorism, they need to stop participating in it. US backed "terrorists" in Afghanistan. US also supported the previous Iraq regime for many years. There are so many other examples. Stopping terrorism has virtually nothing to do with running around in the middle of desert.

If troops were pulled out it would erupt into full scale uncontrolled civil war, yes its pretty much civil war over there now, but its somewhat being controled at this point if we were pullout, it would erupt into full civil war and in the end we would have one of two things...

1. 3 separate nations divided on ethnic lines.

2. one nation under a new dictator.

neither one at this point is something that would benefit any nation, except if the nation was to remain one and fall under the wrong dictator and then benefit more likely Iran..

I hate to say it since I have never supported this war.. Pulling out troops at this point is the worst thing we could do..

Leaving is the worst thing we can do for many of reasons. We'd leave the entire country in absolute chaos, differen't classes, groups, and ethnicities would tear each other apart in a really bloody war, and then the finger would be pointed all at us, which isn't what we need when we're in nearly 3 Trillion dollars of debt and owe many of countries a lot of money. Then again, that's why we're doing favors for everyone, and getting involved in everything, so that way regardless we have something against the other countries, funny how politicals and world affairs works.

I don't think pulling out would put us in anymore danger as far as terrorist threats go, Terrorists aren't only located in Iraq or middle easyt, nor are they only one type of ethnicity, people need to understand that terrorists have been around forever, it's not a new thing, it was just brought to attention when 9/11 happened. Staying in Iraq, or leaving Iraq, wont change that situation.

If we pulled the troops out of Iraq. They would re-take the country and put someone even meaner and powerful than Sadam and even Laden in there who would REALLY make WMDs and bomb the crap out of any of us who fought over there. USA, UK, etc.

There already was a civil war before we entered/9/11. We just made it worse by killing everybody over there and blowing up all the buildings. So even more people die without shelter.

The middle east wont always have their war and bloodshed no matter what, because there are other solutions, and eventually after generations of families, religious groups, and ethnicities slaughtering each other they'll wisen up and figure out its making things worse, and not better, (and the speaker or figure that first brings on the change, will probably be assassinated). The only reason they cant do that now is because they're acting, not observing like the rest of the world.

They aren't gonna come looking for targets, especially not within the US, if you target the US you mind aswell commit suicide, I think 9/11 proves that. There will always be extremist idiots that do try and target us because we're the strongest, and best force in the world, and that why their idiots. Once their war is over, everyone will be far to sick and fed up with the idea of war that nothing will happen to the US, at least for a few decades.

Our bigger problems lie elsewhere, like China, North Korea, and people that actually have the technology at hand, and people that we owe a shitload of money (3 Trillion in debt). I figure we'll all be learning Chinese sooner or later.

I agree with that quote. I mean, it's sad that they're dying and all, but it might look like it's for a lost cause, but really, if we left Iraq in that state, then the rebels would most likely group together and form a who-knows what. And also, the Chinese has been having these weird recalls of their items because they're dangerous or poisonous and whatnot. Maybe they're trying to mass kill us with that, eh?

We should withdraw our troops and then just get our supporting countries to help us blockage imports and exports while they decide to be dumbasses. Eventually, they'll either die out, or give up. They have no other options.
