Well next year will be here in a few days, sometimes it feels like 2010 flew by and sometimes it felt like it was dragging. But the time that I've been waiting for is here, because I'll have the money I need to finish my pet project that I've been working on since August. And of course it's been a time of where I've been rethinking things, because you always see better with fresh eyes.

Is it safe to say that 80% of all pet sites fail? I believe so.


1. The owner isn't mature. They aren't mature enough to realistically know what they can and can't deliver.

2. They aren't in a place that allows them to accomplish their goals. They don't have an actual job, they aren't able to commit enough time because of school or whatever else is going on in life.

3. Low attention span. Some people like to come up with 5 different pet sites ...

I'm so annoyed I can't keep my big mouth shut. Posting a news update on here announcing that you have 3 RECOLORS of a stupid...HAT ITEM doesn't make me want to join your site. AT ALL. It doesn't advertise how awesome your site is, it doesn't encourage me to join. It doesn't keep the VPL users up to date when it's 3 STUPID ITEMS. NO ONE. CARES.

You can post on your site that you have a few new items, sure that's something to report. But off-site, it's pathetic. At least wait for a ...

I've been eagerly looking forward to November since...well January. I'm glad that it's going to be here in just a week. My increased hours at work suck but now I have tons of excess money in my savings. That means I can get some sexy programming started for my site Utasia. I'm hoping to do a real fancy video preview for VPL in December or the next month. I hate it when sites advertise themselves prematurely, seeing two drawn pets and a handful of items isn't exciting to me. So I'm gonna make sure ...

I'm going to begin to have my pet site programmed in September, I gotta say that it's a scary thing.
I have all sorts of fears about my money, the anxiety of just letting go of 1000$. I keep telling myself that I've spent as much money on furniture, and my furniture doesn't make any money for me. So I reason that at least a pet site generates income, it can pay it's self back. Then I think about putting my 2 - 3,000$ tax return into it. Free money, yet still stressful.
