I'm friends with the Sound Guy and the Music Director. Sound Guy works with what he's given, no questions asked. He's given whatever Music Director needs to make her singers and instrumentalists sound wonderful. But he's easily distracted.

Microphones get turned on late, volume is turned down too low. Shit happens. And I have to bail everyone's asses out. I'm the Music Director's assistant in a way, always ready to run on a whim and make sure things go off the way they're supposed ...

OK. This is in letter form to the person in question. It's someone on one of the many pet sites I play on, not someone here on VPL. You're all awesome. If you don't want to read the whole thing, read the tl;dr at the bottom. My one line summary of what I want to say in this massively long rant XD

Why is home schooling always the chosen topic for bashing in these classes? I was home schooled first grade through twelfth, and I didn't have trouble socializing at all. Are you kidding me? I was the social butterfly among my friends when I was young, and they were the shy ones. They were shy because they were used to being trampled over at school, I was outgoing because I was used to being in charge of my situation. Nobody pushed me around. I got my high school degree ...
