Blog posts relating to pet sites
After getting a code to alpha test the new and upcoming site called My Virtual Petsite (info for MVPS can be found here), I decided to grab some of my sketches and use one of my old fantasy critter ideas to work with. I have toyed with the idea of making my own adoptables site before as a spring board for my art, but I found learning to code and the enormous amount of work behind the scenes to be daunting for a one gal show. I'm still not sure if I want to start my own site or just build a portfolio ...

...but I don't, at the same time. I don't think I have what it takes to be an owner -- perhaps an art director/admin/co-owner, but not a sole owner. I've got the ideas, the art (talent), the drive. I just don't have that business manager/programmer side! What I'd love to make is a pet site with elements inspired from my favorite video games. I'm not aiming to make the perfect pet site, but one where everyone will have fun! Okay, I understand that you can't exactly cater to everyone's ...

You can do it, just get yourself organized. More late night thoughts from Slash. Oh joy... So many of you seem to be running in place, trying to develop a petsite but never quite getting anywhere. I think you can succeed. I think the biggest challenge to a creative person is getting themselves motivated and on track with their activities. Whether it's writing a novel or planning a virtual pet site or conceptualizing a business, a good portion of us never seem ...
Keep in mind that in reality not all users fit in one sole stereotype or display traits associated with those stereotypes.Traits observed in one stereotype may also be observed in other types. Ranges go between extreme and the opposite. This guide could always use a bit more information. If you can also help me out by pointing out mistakes and errors content related or grammatical I would be glad. Please message me then. If you have the time please check out the topic I made in preparation to this ...

Lately it seems like a lot of people are posting about their new sites they want to develop, or are already developing, and I see a lot of flaws that definitely turn me off from their site before it's even close to being done. So I feel like I needed to make a post trying to help people the best I can. If something here offends you, please understand that I'm really only trying to help. Before you even gets started: Have either a skill or MONEY. This, for some reason, seems to be ...

I really am tired of seeing hundreds of different petsites with a hundred features in common. It's just so boring and overdone after awhile and it's really silly. I was looking through some of the sneak peaks on this forum and it's amazing how uninterested I was in what's usually my favorite part of a vps: the features and functions! And it bothers me how site owners spend hundreds of dollars to develop sites which are basically identical except for the art and story lines. I mean ...

Okay, maybe I'm taking this post a little too deeply, but Corsair started this one thread about how there are some sites that have been around for years and yet in that time haven't accomplished a whole lot, and it was really thought-provoking. He/she talked about how those sorts of sites need to re-think how they run, and maybe even hire new staff. Anyways, I didn't want to post on the thread because I felt it didn't fit with the original intent of the thread. You can read about it here: ...

currently I'm using a free adoptable host (feeling uneasy to mention the name here). That host offers the scripts and basic default site. But I don't know what happen that suddenly, today, that host is acting up again. I can't access the site (my site and host's main site). Even the support forum. I want to be serious in my project. That free adoptable host gave me many useful guides to start a VP for dummy like me. But if it's always acting up like this, it'll be bad ...
