Virtual pets and real life pets?

We all know that virtual pets are just like real life pets, which means you’re the owner of a pet as it is virtual – which means, you’re in charge of taking care of your virtual pet.

Here’s wikipedia’s definition of Digital pet:

A digital pet (also known as a virtual pet or artificial pet[1]), is a type of artificial human companion. They are usually kept for companionship or enjoyment. People may keep a digital pet in lieu of a real pet.

Digital pets are distinct in that they have no concrete physical form other than the hardware they run on. Interaction with virtual pets may or may not be goal oriented. If it is, then the user must keep it alive as long as possible and often help it to grow into higher forms. Keeping the pet alive and growing often requires ‘feeding’, grooming and playing with the pet. If the interaction is not goal oriented, the user can explore the character of the pet and enjoy the feeling of building a relationship with it. Often these games use realistic visual effects or interaction to make the pet appear alive and give a sense of reality to users.

See what we mean? We have to raise our virtual pets just like our real life pets.

See the difference? They’re basically the same thing, but less people take care of virtual pets.

Neopets cheating communities

We all know that Neopets has underground cheating communities – which means, supplying programs to surpass and excel on Neopets, but is it legal or is it illegal? I know Gaming Gutter, Neocodex and Slop dog strived over the years with being a neopets cheating community, but Neocodex recently changed their community around by allowing people to come discuss Neopets without exactly cheating….

Do you cheat? Why do you cheat? Is it fun to cheat Neopets? Lol, I’d do the same if I had the time since they iced me for no reason – and plus, the selling of neopoints and pets are also apart of the underground communities.

Why do you think neopets has so many underground cheating communities?

Looks like they do not like when others spam their site and neither do we. Competition is nice, but cheating isn’t.

Misticpets and Virtualpetlist.com

Misticpets is owned by two of our great friends, Zara and Shari. We understand hardwork when we see it – and we understand how hard it is to create a pet game – and you know what? Zara and Shari visioned of creating a pet game that could keep people coming back and being able to speak to the owners – which means, uniqueness to the game.

So what happened to Mistic? Well, it was created by Super_james[owner of Ichumon], then it was sold to Impulse Communications – well Impulse saw the potential in Zara, which means, they wanted her to grow the community, however; one day Impulse asked Zara and Shari if they’d like to buy the game – they agreed and now they’re doing what a lot of people wanted to do, but couldn’t do.

So, if you have dreams, be sure to chase them and one day you can be like Zara and Shari!
