Argh.

Rate this Entry
I recently sold off two of my old projects. I transferred the first one with no problems. The second one is stressing me out.

Because of a promotion, I registered the second site's domain at a different registrar than I normally do. When it came time for me to transfer the domain, I looked at the domain panel-- and there was no way to transfer it.

I told the buyer that I was willing to refund part of the money and help him rename the site. He really wanted the original domain, however. So I checked back at the registrar, and found a link that I didn't see before. I clicked it-- it was down.

After it got back up, I couldn't access it with my account information. I had to pay $12.00 to access the domain for transfer due to the offer I used. I did that, and I also bought a domain transfer at the buyer's registrar ($7.99).

That was yesterday evening. The domain wasn't in my account until this morning. So I try to use the transfer-- and the WHOIS has a staff member's data due to the offer I used. Then my laptop charger decides to stop working. Then I have to go to Radio Shack and purchase a $90 charger, then I am finally able to authorize the transaction.

The worst part? Domain transfers take around five days.

Ouch. I feel stressed out just reading that!

Hopefully you are still able to transfer it again without any more issues sneaking up on you!
