11/4/2011 - Date of my first Accident

So today I went to Family Video to pick up Crazy Stupid Love, and as soon as I got into my car, I had to wait for the lady in the white car to move so I can back up. She did. Then I backed out and right as I shifted into Drive, some reckless driver hits me! Freaked out, and without a clue of what happened as I remember looking out my review mirror to ensure that I was in the clear. So I look over, and a fricken car was right in the next parking spot next to the one I just came out of!
I walk out, inspect the damage, nothing but scratches for both cars, and demand to know whether or not the female driver saw me - now remember, I was pulled far out, and ready to drive off by the time she hit me. She says, "No, I never saw you! I didn't know you were there." I was irritated. Then her boyfriend steps out of the passenger seat, runs into the store (I assume he was trying to get a witness, thank God there are cameras), and comes back out demanding to know if I had Insurance, and then proceeded to demand which company. Ignoring him, I called the cops and informed them that I was in an accident, ect. Then called one of my parents so they where aware of what just happened.
He gets upset and starts talking to her. "She hit US." Is all I heard, it was all I needed to hear in order to know what they would do. Nice to know that the people who just hit me are prepared to turn against me.
So the cop came, wrote the report, and informed us to contact our insurance companies about the accident (this occurred on private property, btw).
Interestingly enough, after all of his talk about how I hit them, he later mentions that he was asleep when it happened. <---- DING DING
The driver didn't say much. She seemed apologetic up until her boyfriend insisted that I hit her. *Shrugs*
So yeah.. First accident since I got my drivers license; absolutely interesting but still aggravating. She must have been speeding because I didn't see her as I was pulling out, and when I was prepared to drive off, she hits me. She even admits that she didn't see me even though I was in plain sight.
At least I made it out ok. No more accidents please; one was enough.
