Someone doesnt like you, what do you do?

Well, I've been in trouble before for something that was real stupid, but I accept full responsibility for my actions at that given time, and with given a fine that the courts gave me, I thought wow, that was the end of that. Well, I learned my lesson, and I've been listening to my friends all around me, and one stated that one of the guys from our neighborhood didn't like me for whatever reason, but he never came to confront me when I was over my friend's house.

So, my question is why dislike someone, and not give any reason as to why? That's the shocking part, but I've learned throughout my years of being alive, some people will love you for who you are, and some people will hate you for who yyou are, and really that's the fact of life, correct? And I've seen a lot of rappers(entertainers) talk about how people hated on them as they were growing - and becoming a success, either people found their lyrics to suck, or found their comedian skits to suck, and not be funny, but you know what these entertainers did? They laughed it off straight to the bank and continued to work harder, and strive to be the best at what they're doing, and enjoying what they're doing.

So, really, all I have to say is if someone doesn't like you - then just kill them with kindness and be the best person that you can be. Because, life is not about worrying about what others have to say about you, its about enjoying your life, having fun, and doing things that you know you can do to your best of your ability.

I don't usually have an issue with people not liking me, however on the occasion it does happen I just don't treat them differently. If they try to start things with me, I sit down and write out what I would LIKE to do about the situation. Then I write down what I SHOULD do about the situation. It keeps me from acting rashly.

Recently in my college dorm I switched room mates(after requesting my roommate no be doing explicit things with guys while I'm in the room). She was super pissed at my request, and dropped the bomb that she wanted to switch. We talked about it and later she'd told me she decided no switch was needed. We went on vacation and when I got back, the switch had happened. Nobody talked to me, nobody asked my opinion. I had a new room mate and everyone on the floor knew except for me. I was pretty pissed and hurt but I let it go. There's some drama on the hall with the girls who are friends with my roommate picking(very childishly I might add) on me, my new roommate(who is one of my best friends now) and some of my other friends. We simply tell the RA's whenever something happens. We never react to what they do or say and we just ignore them. Eventually they'll get bored like any other bully. ^.^

Indeed. I haven't written anything in months and I thought I'd write about this and see what I'd come out with. *brushes off writing skills*

@K.aeliah Nice story, that's the best way to do it. Bullies have no ammo when you ignore them.

You know, sometimes they don't hate you, sometimes hate is a front for not understanding or fearing you because we as a race fear the unknown.

I don't hate a lot of the people that I say I do for one. I would confront him, ask him if he hates you, or just doesn't know you well enough to like you? Offer to spend some time with said person to get to know them and show them who you are? That would be what I do. The worst he can do is say no right?

Fact is that dude already knows me. We chilled on various occassions.

Tell them to get in line with all the people who already hate me.

Bullies used to get at me, especially this one. I almost threw him in front of a car driving by because I finally snapped =/. Me and him are actually on good terms now and we occasionally talk. Haven't fought since then.

I guess most the people who I used to hate become friends with me and the friends I've had for years turn on me and hate me(a friend of mine did this weeks ago for one tiny joke I made, she goes to all lengths to avoid me and glares at me all the time now, it's kind of hard since we were really close and have so many classes together).

Maybe it don't have to do what you done in the past, but maybe your personalities clash or something. Anyway... I say it is there loss with not trying to get to know you.

If they hate you for no reason, it's their loss. They could've gotten to know you first. : ] xD

@Tantra It's about what happened in my past, that guy and I used to be real cool. Now, its on when we bump into one another.

Well they shouldn't judge you for your past, people grow and change all the time. Especially when people are younger and then grow up more and change
