My decision is also admittedly due in part to the fact that it has been a long term dream (well more like a goal now, dream was more for when I was like ten) of mine to do art for a petsite, and I figured this is a good place to start. That and maaaybe getting better at style emulation. Hrm.

Anyway, I like dragons, video games, webcomics, animations, roleplays, and I'm planning on going into the field of game design (which must be put on hold because while I was accepted into the schools I applied to there is factor of money and thus community college I go). I also of course love art (of all kinds- literary, performance, visual) and petsites.

My journey into loving petsites began when I was very little. Like six. On October 20, 2001 my mom made me an account on Neopets. That account still exists and while I disagree with much of what Viacom does I still linger around on occasion to play old games that I am oh so fond of. Though I wish I could change the names of my pets I wouldn't be caught DEAD with pet names like that now ew ew ew. In year that would follow I would join many other petsites, though I didn't find any others that held my interest in quite the same way until I found Subeta, which I have been a member on for 6 years and 8 months. I still go on Subeta from time to time, mostly during morostide or when my friends are also on. I'm horribly addicted to their pet designs and I currently have 16. I will literally buy gold accounts and/or use loyalty boxes purely to get more pets (though during my sporadic bursts of higher activity I like having a GA activated for convenience). Other noteworthy things include Verpets, where I joined in July 2008 as Autumnfeb and I'm no where near as active as I keep saying I will be. I joined Aywas in January of 2010 though my good friend became my lairmate later on and now mostly runs the show now (not that I mind it happened during a time that I had little access to a computer and now I'm just lazy). I'm still quite active on FelisFire which I joined August of 2010 and I have the nice low ends-in-5 number of 625 (though I did vanish for two years one of the only breeder/sim games I can stand). The petsite I probably frequent the most now-a-days is NeuroGalaxy, which I think I also joined in 2010? Like late in the year though November-ish. I go by AutumnDragon on there. Next comes the only clickables site I still go on World of Umbria as AutumnWyvern (fantasy steampunk wowee) which I joined this past December. Lastly is Leayph which I joined in February though I'm in desperate need of a business partner (because I ~have~ to go and try the hardest occupation route).

So, as you can see I have a 12-year history regarding playing virtual pets, and I didn't list any that I don't currently frequent but there are a LOT more haah (if you include my love of tamagotchi it dates back even further oh gosh). I like pokemon and rpgs in general. My first virtual pet site was marapets when I was a teenager. Played it until it was ad ridden and was bored of it anyway.
I tried many pet sites but they were either too similar or had nothing to do or too hard to buy items and/or earn money. There was three exceptions. The two I didn't like were ichumon the rpg part I just got lost and weapons were breaking way too much and Paladore too many things were based on chances low ones including very important things like catching pali and evolving there was little you could do to increase your chances. This would not be a big problem if the chances were not so low to begin with.

Then I tried aywas it was amazing. I just started and I got an avatar I can be happy with. A cool adventure mode. Tons of pets to capture. Many features like pet,inventory and avatar layer slot expansions usually have to pay real cash but can pay with in game money. A good thing too, Pet slots are almost essential to fully enjoy the game. Breeding without real money is extremely expensive and limited to the same linart, but is not nessisary to enjoy the game. A breeding site that has stuff to do other than breeding and can be fun without breeding. Is this a first? Even if you are not interested in breeding, if you are interested in collecting pets, exploring, battling or just about anything else I recommend it full heartly! I just don't reccomend it if you play virtual pet sites for flash games.
