Looking for a dedicated user interface designer as well. This is separate from the PHP/SQL developer because I don't think they're quite the same job.
Your job is to code the user-side of a feature to look pretty and attractive.

Throughout the process of the job you may request artwork from people on our art teams to decorate features with.

Recommended Skills:
Ajax
PHP/MYSQL (you will NOT be coding features so much as working with the view files of features already coded to make them pretty, so understanding how the code plugs in is important)

Hi everyone, I am looking for a quote on programming costs for a functional design business - community cross platform. I want to know how much an ideal concept like mine will cost, so I can accurately narrow down my expenses. This is a serious venture I'm planning so I will definitely be back to hire a developer. I am seeking an initial quote to help guide my progress along. ^^

I'm not looking for anything too fancy so far, because I'm trying to be realistic on how much money I can actually invest into my business. :P

I recently found out that my grandma is giving me $1000 for my graduation gift, which I want to put towards developing and starting up my business which I have been planning for about a year now. I know a thousand isn't a lot, but I hope I can use it to start somewhere. I thought it would be a good idea asking you guys here how much, on average, the "ideal" site would cost to program.

For confidentiality purposes, I won't post the concept here on this board...

But if any programmer here would be willing to advise me on a quote I will be more than happy to provide you with a detailed functionality and site feature list via PM!

Web Designer Offering: $400 for In-Page Layouts

I am looking for someone to design and code the in-page layouts for my horse sim game, Liberty. Liberty is a free online sim game (currently in development) that celebrates our bond with horses. With innovative gameplay and gorgeous art, you can own horses, gain their trust, and experience a whole world together.

We already have a general layout, and use the Twitter Bootstrap framework.

I am paying $400 for all the internal page layouts - things like forums, horse page, inventory, showing, etc.

What I expect:
-Frequent communication, ideally through an IM of some sort
-I'd like to see sketches of your designs before you do any serious polishing work, and definitely before you code anything
-You need to know how to work around php code - you'll be laying out pages that are already programmed
-You need to know Twitter Bootstrap, or be willing to learn it
-You need to be available. ;_; please please please. ;_; This is a fairly long-term project, with quite a bit of work, I need someone who has time to dedicate to this.

What you get:
-$400 USD, payment terms will be discussed but I'm open to anything except 100% up front
-Being part of the development of an awesome horse game!

Please post here with examples, ideally of layouts you both designed and coded. Can't wait to hear from you!

You may have noticed that we have a new Web Designer badge floating around. This badge was created for those proficient in front-end development (HTML/CSS, JavaScript, etc.), but who may not qualify for the programmer badge.

Applications

The applications for this will work similarly to the approval process for the programmer badge. The programmer and web designer application sub forum in is where your application for the badge should be posted. Please make your application for Web Designer separate from any other applications. Any posts made within this sub forum will be visible only by you and the moderators of the badge.

Approval

Approval will be based on a few requirements. Firstly, your code must be fully validated HTML/CSS. Code that isn't validated will automatically disqualify you from receiving the badge. Using tables for layouts will also disqualify you, as this is no longer considered a best practice and should be avoided.

Please keep in mind that anything extra you supply beyond the required layout coded in HTML/CSS, for example a responsive layout and/or any JavaScript, will also be checked for correctness.

Your design will be checked in multiple browsers, including IE, although it will not necessarily result in disqualification if it doesn't render exactly the same in all browsers.

Please do not modify your submissions once you have created your application; doing so will result in disqualification.

If you are not given the title first time through, you will have to wait 3 months before applying again.

Selling HTML5 Game Auction 5

I have another HTML5 game for auction. This one is called "Splat". In the game there are colored circles that bounce around on the screen. The game starts with one circle, but as time goes on more will start to appear. Once you click one of the circles they will stop moving and "splat" against the black background. The goal of the game is to "splat" as many circles of the same color as you can. Once you are happy with how many circles you have splatted you can click the red button. This will clear the screen and award points. However, points are only awarded if you were perfect and didn't splat multiple colors. If you are expecting points make sure that you have at least two colors splatted, since one is not enough. However you can click the red button at any time and it will clear the screen. This is helpful if the colors become too hectic, or you have clicked multiple colors. There is a time limit on the game that starts at 60 seconds and decreases as the game goes on. However, as you can more points you will also gain more time. The faster the circles are the more time and points you will get. Also the more circles you get the more points and time you will get.

This game has send score already, but you will need to edit the php part so that it works with your site. The art in the game can easily be switched out, but you will be responsible for the art. Also more circles can be added and points and speed can easily be edited.
