@cpvr I think its a pile of poop. The only real money makers are the AUs, and all ian does is add the new ones so he can make more money. It's very easy to make MP if you know what to buy though, which is very good for me and the club thing I'm in.

So, I'm guessing you haven't came across this blog post that I wrote last year? The downfall of Marapets.

I think once the money really started coming in, Ian started to get lazy - which is why most of their updates that are coming out, are in regards to their AUs, its ridiculous, and we all wonder why their user's online has decreased over 100% in the past few years. I remember the days when Mara used to have over 2,000 members online at a time, now it doesn't even past 600-800 users online.

I just read it, and I agree 100% with it, along with a few of the quotes.
I haven't seen Marapets get over 800 users online in forever. I think Ian needs to get some new admin. I've only seen Shaggy on, Indy left awhile back and Middy left a month or so ago. I don't know if it was temporary or not, but they aren't there now so Ian needs to step up. And the new artist, now that Laimey left, or however you spell her name, the art has gone up and down. The Dark Fairy pets need to be re-done, because they aren't even close to the sites style.

I agree with you 100%, he doesn't really need new admins though, he needs a content manager who can update the site while he's gone, that's the site's downfall, not being updated frequently. He had everything down and out when he used to update a lot.

The new artist is @NiGHTS, and someone else, but I'm not sure what their username is.

@cpvr, A content manager is exactly what he needs, and would have no problem getting one if he tried, But that's the problem, he won't freaking try! I personally think he's gone off an gotten a life, which is okay but he needs to keep it updated.

I already offered my hand out to him, I told him I'm willing to work for him. He hasn't given me an answer yet, but we'll see.

Well, personally, Ian and I have been friends since 2005-2006 ish. He knows me. I used to work for Zetapets as a content manager, years ago, so experience isn't an issue with me. If he has an admin panel, to upload items, add pets, chage rarities of items, change quests rewards, upload new image of pets, especially redraws, then it would be cake-walk working for him.

@cpvr, I hope you do get hired. I would think he has an admin panel, considering the management "help the owners run the site behind the scenes as well as fulfilling the same role as an Admin. They are responsible for the site in the owner's absence. "
