    Mels' Commissions!

    About Mels'
    I work at home; therefore I am usually around.
    I check my messages frequently and respond promptly.
    I am very passionate about artwork and take commissions seriously!
    I consider myself very productive and honest.

    Examples

    More at; Forkwands@dA

    I am also able to draw wearables for pre-existing avatar bases!
    As well as inking and/or coloring images you need completed!
    I am willing to do recolors as well as item revamps if you need them!

    [If you have non-petsite related commissions, feel free to ask on those as well!]

    Prices are specific to the size and level of detail you're requesting!
    Do not be afraid to tell me if you have a budget or price range! I'm willing to negotiate!

    FAQ
    Q: How many items can I order at one time?
    A: Ten at a time, so we can build a working relationship! After 5 or more commissions, I will allow you to commission more at a time!

    Q: How do you work?
    A: I will show you a sketch, and this is where you need to let me know if changes are needed. Then, unless specifically asked to show more steps, I will complete the work!

    Q: Do I get a discount for bulk orders?
    A: For your first five commissions with me, I will not allow discounts. But, once you've established a stable working relationship, we can talk about discounts!

    Q: Do you want payment before or after you've finished?
    A: I request payment after I finish; via paypal and I will sent you an invoice. You have two days (48 hours) after I have shown you the watermarked copy of your commission to pay. PLEASE let me know if you may not be available.

    Q: Can you be done by _____ date?
    A: If you have a deadline you'd like me to meet, just ask. I will let you know if I honestly think I have the time to do it. If I don't think I can do it, I will tell you I can't.

    Q: I am going to be out of town / I might not have internet for a while / I have less money than I thought I would have to pay you / etc. What should I do?
    A: Please let me know if something is going on. If you're going to be unable to respond to me for more than a couple days, let me know before you leave! This prevents me from thinking you're trying to rip me off. If a situation comes up when you don't have the money, or you can no longer buy the items from me for what ever reason, just let me know! Don't make me finish all that work so you can tell me you don't want it any more. I will honestly not be upset if real life creeps up on you. I will understand. Just please, PLEASE keep me informed.

    Q: Can you match my site style?
    A: If your site style is a different style than my personal style, please show me a style GUIDE before you ask for commissions. I will tell you if I think I can do it. If I am worried I can't do it, I will tell you honestly if I can't. I am willing to work with one of your other artists to get my style to match via critiques and redlines and things of that nature. I am willing to work on a single item until you think I've got the style down, if you're pleased with it, you're free to purchase it, but I will not be giving away free artwork, so please make sure I'm drawing something you want. If after a few tries you don't think my style is right, then just tell me so. Don't have me continue only to tell me you changed your mind once I'm done.

    Q: I think you might work well being on the staff on my site! Would you like to be on my staff?
    A: This depends on what you're looking for! Depending on the rate of items you want produced and if you're okay with me working for multiple sites; as I do currently work for one site, and volunteer on another!

    Q: What kind of work do you like the most?
    A: Most people don't ask me this question, but I'd like to let you guys know. I like having artistic freedom, but I don't like being given so much I have to come up with everything on my own. Please give me general ideas. 'An old key' helps me out and keeps me interested. But things like 'I don't know, just draw ten items' does not keep me interested and I have no idea what you guys need.

    Q: After I pay you, what does that mean?
    A: After you've paid me, the art is yours. You own full rights to it. You may edit them, redraw them, print them into stickers, sell them, etc. The only thing you may not do is claim you created them yourself or claim someone else drew them. IMPORTANT: If you do not want me using the artwork in my portfolios / posting it, you need to inform me before the commission is accepted!

    Beautiful work! Very thorough FAQ. Good luck <3

    Maynard: I think most of us grew up in a pretty sterile environment. A
    lot of that stuff just wasn't around. It's all pretty much peaches and
    cream . . . flowers . . . everything's nice, ignore all the bad stuff.
    And the world's just not like that. And I think that the sooner people
    get to the point where they realize that the ugly stuff is just as
    important as the beautiful stuff - it goes hand in hand, I think that
    we can get on with evolving.

    I am going to have to commission you some more when I get paid! I always love your items you make

    I have a silly question - Do you remember those three items I had you make me back on DA a while back? Do you still have them somewhere? I can't seem to find them ANYWHERE even though I know I saved them...

    @slusserd
    Thank you so much for the luck! C:

    @Wrath
    Thank you! I'm glad you like them C:

    @Gabby
    Oh thank goodness. I always fear people will be annoyed with a FAQ or I'm not answering all their questions!

    @Andou
    Thank you! I love your icon! Duskull does kind of look derpy =P

    @Tyme
    There are various ways I can shade! Here are some examples of pets I've done before though!
    One//Two//Three//Four
    I'm still learning to soft shade, so I don't have any examples yet =P But I'm willing to try anything and practice to learn.

    @cpvr
    Thank you xD And that smilie is hilarious lol

    @Lai
    UHHHHHM. I want to say I most likely DO have them. Can you remind me what they are? I want to say a pyramid of sorts, like a snowglobe? A feather? And... UHHHH. xD I don't remember. If you tell me what they were, I'm sure I can find them no problem C: Although, I don't have the PSDs anymore, that I'm sure of :C I think I drew those with a different computer! Ee.

    Re: Mels' Commissions!

    No worries about the PSDs! My own fault for not having them anymore myself.

    I know that you had drawn that crow for me, which I have saved...
    This is what I had asked for BEFORE you drew them -
    --A Gender Changing Potion or Item
    -A Rainbow Potion or Item
    -A Feather Potion or item

    I am pretty sure you made the Rainbow potion a potion, but I can't remember for the life of me on the other two... if we can't figure out which ones they were that is fine :3 I just would love to use them if I can haha.
