Unless functions are made specifically for a site you will find almost every function out there on the web at some point or another. I've noticed that code you have posted isn't in context either, just a "list of functions" written with Fuel with very little user input enclosed. If you read the post you made there, you say you documented it well for future developers which is a good thing. What if that future developer does not use Fuel and instead uses Cake, Zend or base PHP? Writing PHP in a framework may be easier and a bit faster, but why hold yourself to one framework? Most existing sites out there are built in basic PHP with the exception of most of the CMSs and offer next to no scalability for future developers or site owners. Using a framework is great if you don't want to do a lot of work and don't want to know exactly what your code is doing. This has been a long held argument in programming (and especially in PHP) circles.

My wife posted here since I was talking about moving my coding away from the adult industry where I currently hold quite a few clients, but I see now that this list was not the place to expand. Having a real business, paying taxes on said business and holding to a business model with clients holds me to do what I need to do, not what I want to do. Enjoy your framework and lazy coding.
