@Pepper-Head - I personally don't think the wolf is up to par for what you'd want on your petsite if you were looking for it to be serious. It looks more like a personal art picture then a cleaned up petsite picture.

So you have to have complex soft shade to have your site taken serious? What you deem unprofessional is a matter of opinion but I agree the two are of different styles is kinda jarring.

I'm not sure if I should really get into it just in case the artist is someone on here. I don't want to hurt any feelings through more critique than I've already stated.

@Shade Yup, their both live on our forums now. Including who drew them and what their species name is.

@Kiara You do have to take in at this time we are in the very early stages, #9 Neko looks completely different to both of these because again, that one was created in another style. The Jettan is aimed to be a secret/unlockable pet so in that sense it needed to look a certain way so it would be more appealing. We tried it with the same eye-style as #3 'Basil' and #4 'Wolfie' but then #1 Jettan didn't look as good.

@Velxeor Artist names are not yet released.

@Pepper-Head Yeah, Jettan was created along with the guide back in April, but #4 was created more recently under a slightly altered guide. #9 Neko is semi-ready as well, but again that pet was created under the April guide as well. - And then the site changed.

@jakdacrowe The image sizes, maximum size they will be on-site is 300x300, but the Jettan image here is huge, its 600 odd x 400 or something.

@Corsair Well, as I say these are just two of the completed pets we have, the final list of who will be in beta and who won't be hasn't been written up yet. Except #9 Neko isn't in the beta, #9 is the only one that has a definite decision on it.

I look at it this way- when s site is being worked on, the art isn't quite set yet, and can always change. I'm just setting back and waiting to see exactly what goes on with this site. It looks interesting!

Like my preview for Fabelz, my lineart isn't set there. I've been revamping the shading and coloring a bit, so it looks more 3D-ish instead of flat. I'm just about set to what I want my style to be!

I advise you to get one artist to work on one kind of thing.

The shark creature looks fabulous both style and concept wise. The wolf looks great as well and is just a wolf. It could do with another touch of imagination. Maybe the touch of the one who imagined and the one who drew the shark. Or just the one if that was done by one.

If artists throw a fit over who wants to do the creatures and who is to work on other things I advise you to prioritize well.

Look again at what Subeta did. Even if some pets have more imagination put in them than others I'd say it's a level ahead of what I've seen here. Because they use the same technical style.
