How do you all feel about baby pageants? Do you think they are a bad idea or a good idea?

Personally, I was apart of a baby pageant when I was young. xD I won best eyes.
My mom didn't come back though because the parents were so ruthless. The judges were cracked up too.

@Gabby i understand that people have fun doing them but most of the time its the parents who have the most fun
ive seen a lot of shows and know a few kids who were in them when they were younger and never have i seen one of those kids say 'IT WAS REALLY FUN!!!!!' because theyre usually forced into it
if a child wants to get all dolled up then fair does but the parents usually dont realise how miserable the kids are about the whole ordeal so i really dont approve of them. forcing your child to do anything is horrible.
i think that pageants are also kind of sleazy. like, you honestly cant tell who is in the audience watching those little girls do the swimsuit contests. it shouldnt be allowed.

it might just be what I've seen in the media, but any pageants that are kids are just parents dressing up their children like hooker barbie dolls. Baby ones might be a little different, I have no idea. But for little kids... usually that's terrible.

It seems to me like its a gimmick for parents to make money off of their child's beauty.

I'm not offended. I don't agree that I was apart of one, and my mother would never bring me back.. LOL. It was a fun thing to do at the time, a rash decision with the family. Nothing serious
