Well, C++ is a very powerful language with many possibilities but one has to know what he does. This begins with manual memory handling (new, delete) and ends with templating. You will have a steep learning curve and you will have a long way to go until you are ready to think about making games with graphics.

HTML and CSS are no programming languages by the way. They are Mark-up languages.

C++ is a pretty fun language. Though, I do still prefer it's predecessor, C. Still my go-to language for small applications I need to build

C++ is a difficult language to start with. When learning a programming language you want to enjoy the experience. If things get tough, don't feel bad about learning an easier language as an introduction like VB.NET.
