Just donated blood

Well, my girlfriend donated blood at her job today and the truck was still there when I went and picked her up, so I also donated blood. I feel good about myself currently because this is my first time ever doing it, and I plan to do it again in the future.

So, have you ever donated blood?

I donate blood as often as possible. I have rare blood that only 5% of the population has my blood type but my blood type can also go to 40% of the population. That and I'm young and I have healthy blood so I donate pretty often. At school they have blood drives every few months and I go when I can.

The lady that was asking me questions told me how much blood the hospitals requests. I was like wow, well you can have my blood too! I hope it saves a life! When I was in school, they didn't really do blood drives.

Thanks, they had a tough time finding a vein to draw blood from. I always have that problem. Even if I go to the hospital. I don't know why my viens are like that though! They had me squeeze a rubber ball though.

I really want to donate, but they only come to my area once every 6 months which is sad. When I went for blood tests the lady said I would have a hard time giving blood as she couldn't find my veins and said if I can't very well they won't be able to.

I am not able to due to health issues ( anemia is no fun! ) but my husband does a lot. He also sells plasma, gets a good $300+ a month. Helping people while bringing in a little money never hurts!

Ya, they filled up one big bag full of my blood. I thought they were going to take a lot more, lol. My blood pressure is good as well. It's only high if I'm in pain or something.
