Members Spamming for Referrals

I agree with what @Love said in regards to @Slashmaster.
Who has never really cared about what her users do on other petsites (sometimes on her site as well) - especially when it comes to advertising. I believe Eri did a better job in contacting Angel privately instead of bashing her in a public forum. But I don't really expect anything more or less from the Aywas owner.

Still the matter with King is irritating. I don't doubt that he will continue this on other petsites/websites. But hopefully the changes being made to the referral system stop the idiocy on King's part.

Due to the fact that King is a user on a website that I mod for it just isn't acceptable that I say anything specific even about my feelings on the matter. It just wouldn't be professional. The only thing I am willing to say about it is that as you probably already know Mods are JUST like you. If you have ill feelings about something that happened it is a fair expectation to believe mods feel the same. The only difference is as staff we have to follow site rules and we are limited in what we can say and do about it.

Yep. Eri contacted her after King was reported for spamming and banned and told her that King was spamming hundreds of Aywas members, and she did not do anything to punish him. Hence, I was rather annoyed and made that comment here. I think it's deserved.

Has Aywas ever punished users for spamming their referral links everywhere?

No one's ever reported an Aywas member spamming, but yes, we would. We've punished people for breaking our rule that you cannot bribe people to join Aywas.

You have a very strange definition of bashing. I stated I was disappointed that Angel allowed King to keep all his referrals despite spamming. That's personal opinion, and not even insulting.

Just as in America we would not bring lawful action to a person from say China for a theft that occurred in China that we have no evidence about. Same kinda idea. As American's we would agree that we do not like the theft in China though. I think that's a good analogy for how I feel about this who situation. I am not a lawyer and don't know the law but please take the analogy as it was given and just get what I mean by it lol.

king's been spamming people on various sites telling them to sign up on Kingdom Sky just so he could get that Crown Icon. He gained an unfair advantage on Kingdom Sky by breaking other sites' rules. How the fuck does this relate to fleeing a country to avoid the police? You'd get your ass deported back to China if you get reported to the police.

Would you mind sharing how you know that he received no punishment? Are you claiming to have inside knowledge about Kingdom Sky? Did a moderator/admin tell you that?

Well I already know the answer to that obviously. The answer is that you have spoke without having information. You of all people should know how that could hurt a website and how influencial your words are. I do have the information and you are categorically wrong with your above comment.

I'm sorry that my comment made you so upset that you had to curse that way. This is all I intend to say about this situation.

Kingdom Sky heard about the situation. Kingdom Sky publicly edit their rules to communicate we did NOT feel it was acceptable. We are again publicly taking away things from the referral system to the detriment of our honest users so that bad users aren't tempted to abuse the system. There was also the actions we took behind the scenes specifically with users who made the infractions and that information is private as to who they are or what consequences there were. As a user of Kingdom Sky OR other websites I'm not sure what more a person could ask for. It was handled swiftly and efficiently.

I am sorry that it hasn't met some peoples expectations. We do have to think about all of the users as a whole though. If it is something that you feel makes you not want to play Kingdom Sky anymore you may privately mail Angel and ask that your account be removed. We will be very sorry to see you go but will honor your wishes.

I'm sure you gave him a warning. But yes, in my opinion, that's not enough. Velxeor's comment above is pretty much what I think, in my opinion, should happen. Not removing the prizes or rewards of someone who spams a referral link to multiple sites is not considered punishment to me.

Let me grab my original comment here:

The person who joined Aywas just to spam about Kingdom Sky and PM hundreds of our members wasn't relieved of his prizes and referral points on Kingdom Sky. I found that incredibly disappointing. I don't know anything about who runs the Kingdom Sky website but I can't say I'm very happy with their decision to - in my opinion - allow this kind of behavior to go ahead without punishment.

Now, Vel's comment:

The member was not relieved of his prizes as per what Vel said, nor his referral points.

Guys... Owners, Admins, and Mods alike are not obligated to tell you how they punished a person for their site. What the person is punished for is a private issue and unless the person comes out and says how they were punish themselves you won't know how they were punished.

You can't tell how a mod is to punish a person on their site. Even if you think from what you see the punish isn't severe enough.

I think the problem here is that you think King wasn't punish the way you wanted him to be punish. The mods of KS must have decided that a lesser punishment was needed than what you as a user would think. Even other site owners can't tell what another site owner to do with their site. Even if they think the punishment doesn't match, the other owner must not think it is.

So no fights okay. ^^

Discussion is fine, but it seems to be getting heated and I just wanted to remind everyone to tone it down a bit. I just didn't want a fight to start like it seem it was going to.
