What is a good way to get off the phone from people you don't want to talk to?

Mine actually does that a bit late.

I've heard members of my family say the following:

1. There's someone at the door, I have to go.
2. I can hear the kettle boiling, I better go.
3. I'm running a bath so I need to go before it overflows.

For me its like if Dax phones me during the times when Hollyoaks is on I cancel the call and if he rings again I pick it up and shout HOLLYOAKS at him then hang up.

"I have a call on the other line!" That one works too. Just hang up.
