What are the green bars under everyone's usernames and how do you get more?

I think its how active you are if I recall.

I never noticed there were different amounts of them. I thought it meant the user was online.

Yours says that you're on a distinguished road.

I always thought it was based on your reputation? Like from getting/giving thanks, from doing good things, etc..?

@Pepper-Head I just found out it is the reputation level. I chose to hide mine at http://www.virtualpetlist.com/profil...do=editoptions and now I don't see it under my name.

Does anybody know how it's calculated? I've seen people with less thanks than others have higher reputation levels.

Thanks! I actually might turn mine off too.

Well I know sometimes admins or buyers/sellers can give reputation. I only saw it once or twice where after I purchased/sold something I was prompted if I wanted to give them reputation (I like that feature but it doesn't appear anymore..?).
And @cpvr gave me some rep for posting something helpful once, and it was more than just a point or two.

I guess it all depends on people giving your posts thanks and whatnot. That's the only thing that makes sense to me. Maybe @cpvr knows more.
