Arrow Looney tunes reboot movie coming

Looks like Looney tunes will be making a return. Jenny Slate has been hired to write the reboot movie. According to the news from Complex

    Below:
Warner Bros. has hired former SNL star, Jenny Slate, to write a Looney Tunes reboot movie for the studio. The project will be a combination of CGI and live-action similar to what Sony did with the Smurfs movie in recent years.

The Looney Tunes have been on the big screen before in Space Jam and Looney Tunes: Back in Action, but this will likely bring the characters to life for a new generation of audiences in the same way that 2011's The Muppets did. It isn’t known which characters will appear in the movie, but we’re sure classics like Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and Porky Pig will be in it.
Space Jam was one of my favorite movies, and still is. They did a really good job with the movie, and Michael Jordan was at his finest in the movie.

What does everyone think about this move? Will you watch the new Looney tunes movie when it comes out? Were you a fan of Looney tunes growing up?

Eh, the combo of CGI and real life is a turn off if they make it like the Smurfs. I think I'll have to pass on this one.

I never watched the Smurfs movie, was it really that bad? The cartoons were great, I'll admit that. I used to watch the Smurfs and Looney Tunes when I was still a little baby. They were my childhood favorite shows.

Re: Looney tunes reboot movie coming

I didn't think Space Jam was that good, when we eventually saw it on TV.

The thing I remember most was the Warner Village Cinema in York and whenever we went to see a film we would go there, cause they had all the characters as these big life sized things, but they were up in the top part where you couldn't touch them.

Like you'd enter the cinema through the doors and above the doors was this big glass covered ledge and up there was where the characters were, I remember there was Bugs Bunny, Tweety and Yosemite Sam, there was either 5 or 6 of them up there but I can't remember the other ones. And then when you were in the cinema you could look up and you'd see the backs of these characters.

But then it was like one day we went there and it said how the cinema was changing from Warner Village to Vue and they'd taken down all these statues from where they were.

We went there once more when it turned into a Vue cinema, and basically never went there again, you had to pay to park in the cinema parking (when it was Warner it was free) so we parked somewhere round near Toys R Us or something. The top part of the cinema where all the characters had been, they were gone and there was nothing put up there in placement of them, it was just blank and empty. And the like mini arcade that had been in there (forgot to mention this above) when it was Warner they had Warner Character related stuff in there, got rid of all that and replaced it with general arcade stuff like what you'd get at the bowling alley* down Harrogate.

    Never went there again.

Want to see a film you go down Harrogate to the Odeon now. I HATE Vue cinemas cause they took over the Warner Village and that was like my childhood, haven't been out that way for over 10 years now.

*The bowling alley in Harrogate, this one time I was in there (bowling obviously) a load of firemen came in, like all in their gear and stuff, like they were called there but then whatever it was they were called for had been fixed now so they weren't needed. So the group of them, which was like 5 or 6, they all went over to the arcade bit of the place and they were having a game on the dancemat - funniest thing I have ever seen in my life XD

And the last I heard that place closed down, but I dunno cause I ain't been out that way of Harrogate in a while. I can't really remember where it was though either, somewhere near the Comet, which is now a Maplins.
Project "Z" is currently in the making, we have our domain, pet and a few items done. We hope to enter Beta in August 2014. Stay tuned.
