All I have to say is I haven't logged into the site for months and honestly, I'm glad. I only worked there for a few months and saw exactly why everyone eventually quits, that's all there is to it. Drama or not, there IS truth to why people keep leaving, and until that's admitted, they will continue to do so. Icepets isn't a horrible site, but it wasn't for me in the long run, and it's too bad, because I really wanted it to be.

I'm a newer user of Icepets, and it's apparent by my posts that I have enjoyed myself on the website. I do not purchase anything and while I engage in public conversations I carry no real relationship with the members or former members.

I only know about this entire situation because Lolly had posted on the boards (after evidently quitting Icepets, which occurred when I wasn't around), and had the link claiming all of this horrific stuff about the owner, Claws. Curious, I clicked the link to be redirected here, and what I read hadn't altered my opinion in any manner: a former staff member felt she had been neglected or not praised enough, and took it upon herself to state her opinion. But the fact that I, a new member, had found out all about this is enough to support Claw's decision on why that comment needed to be deleted: it drew new members into something that had nothing to do with us. It tarnished his reputation, which you claim isn't what you desire.

But let me say this: I really don't care. Lolly, you're obviously a talent artist. I was actually intrigued when you had returned making your graphics. But Lolly, you invest far too much pounding Claws and his website into the ground. While you claim this is to offer advice and make the website better, all I witness is vengeance. This is a vendetta. This is not about teaching anyone a lesson, this is personal.

You've said your part. You made your point clear. There is nothing left for you to do now aside from leave it alone. But you don't. Why is that? Is it the fact Icepets is still alive and doing seemingly alright? Is it new users like myself who defend it and support to it potentially getting somewhere or surviving just a little bit longer?

Do I know Claws? No. I know of Nate. I don't see Claws as being active, although perhaps he does things behind the scenes.

But I don't care as long as I'm part of a working website! If the staff leaves, that's their decision. If Claws treats them badly but manages to still maintain the website, how does it effect me? How does it effect our community? I came to play a game. I would love to do so in peace.

Now, whether or not your continue posting is up to you. I see it serving no purpose. In fact, it scares me because it seems like harassment, which reminds me of bullying. I've had huge fights with real life friends who hadn't held onto grudges for so long! But the ban seems entirely justified in this circumstance. It's great having you back, not so great having your blast the community.
Perhaps you're right. Perhaps the other members have been treated terribly by Claws; maybe Claws is a bully.

If Icepets fails, you did your best! You can feel good about it. You said your part. But please, stop re-directing this back here. You have potential; worry about other things!

I was also screwed by a VPS and was angry for years, still am a little angry. I could march around trying to expose the corruption on VPL all day but it wouldn't even make a dent. All I can do is wait because it will eventually catch up with them and come out. I'm better off finishing my own site and not worrying about it, because I know I can do it bigger and better. A site that acts poorly to it's staff or players will eventually fail, even neopets will never attain it's former glory. So just find a better project to work on?
