England. Midlands to be exact. You're all in bed (or blooming should be) when I come out to play!
What time do you usually come out and play? I know that the UK is 6 hours or 8 hours ahead of the United States.(right?)

Is that United Kingdom? Or another European area?

Well, we have a sea climate, so it's not very hot here nor very cold. Average temperatures during summertimes are between 17 and 28 degrees Celsius, while in the winter it can be around minus 2 to minus 10 degrees Celsius with some snow and ice. We do have quite a lot of rain, though it's not as bad as in Scotland. Just don't expect a long dry period and bring an umbrella when you visit Holland.

As for fun places to visit: I know every tourist wants to visit Amsterdam, though it is not what I would recommend. Amsterdam is a unique city and it's nice to visit it, but it is quite different from the rest of the Netherlands. So if you have visited only Amsterdam and think the rest of Holland is like that, you're wrong.

    Places I would recommend are:
    * Utrecht, city in the middle of the Netherlands. It's smaller as Amsterdam, though as the same sort of canal system running through the city. It has a lot of nice bars and restaurants and it's a great place for shopping, while you are also near a lot of nature parks such as the Veluwse Heuvelrug.
    * Limburg, province in the southeastern part of the Netherlands. In particular the southern part of the province with the city Maastricht. It's a great place for hiking, exploring old mines, run through caves while paintballing and ending your day with great meales and special beers. It als has the Three Countries Point. It's not much, just a sign on a hill, but it is where the borders of Germany, Belgium and Holland come together.
    * If you're interested in how the Dutch conquered water and claimed land from the sea, either visit Neeltje Jans in the province Zeeland, or ride through the province Flevoland. Neeltje Jans is an attraction that tells how the dutch coped with the big water disaster of 1953 when our dikes broke, and how we afterwards sort of tamed the sea. Flevoland used to be all water, but today it is land with cities and towns on it.
    * If you want to hang out on the beach, either visit the westcoast from Zeeland to Den Helder, or go to the IJsselmeer, the big lake in the middle of Holland and of which Flevoland used to be part of.
    * Want a bit more of farmlife, then visit the provinces Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe and Overijssel.
    * Interested in our history as a trading country, then visit our 'Hanzesteden'. They are a string of cities, most of them next to rivers, that back in the days of old used to transport merchandise coming from Rotterdam to Germany. There are still a lot of old trading buildings left in the cities Zwolle, Deventer and Kampen, and most of them nowadays are turned into restaurants or hotels.

And that's pretty much it. If you like to go out at night and enjoy the buzz of the city, go to either Utrecht, Rotterdam, Den Haag (The Hague) or Amsterdam. If you're looking for a bit more piece and quite, visit the provinces Groningen, Friesland, Drenthe, Overijssel and Gelderland with it's farmlife, forests and wildparks. If you like water, either stay next to the sea or go to the IJsselmeer. And if you're the burgundian type visit the province Limburg. There are a few zoo's in Holland as well as themeparks. Two of them stand out: the Apenheul in the city Apeldoorn, which is a moneky only park and where some monkeys walk freely amongst the visitors. And Dolfinarium in the city Harderwijk, which is all about sealife and where you can see dolphins, sharks, seals and such.

@Nebula Thanks for sharing all that with us. Do you have any pictures of those locations for those that don't live out there? How's the economy out there as well? Is it easy to find new jobs or is it hard?
