thumbs up Subeta.net Review : Floxley

    Subeta Review

I've been a long time player of pet and adoptable sites. I'm not sure what it was for me, but there is plenty appeal about them all to catch someone's attention. I knew if I saw anything bat-like, or rat, I would love it. A site has to be able to run smooth, and withstand the amount of users that want to play on it.. the better you make the site the more power you're going to need. I was sitting around in in a MMORPG chat area one day, and heard some folks talking about Subeta. Naturally this lead me to wonder what they were talking about. I asked a friend who lead me in the right direction and started exploring.

Started by @Kieth at the age of 16, Subeta has about 100,000 members and going strong, with an average of 600 players online daily. It takes maybe a couple minutes to join, and is completely free. You can get a gold account for 5$, which is completely optional, It will give you more pet slots to get some more of them and a few other extra perks; Autopricer, Decreased Training Time, GA Forums, Beta Tester, Extra Wardrobe Layer.

    Beginners Appeal:

There are so many awards to win, trinkets to collect and things to do. Starter quests and moving up in ranks on the specific quest givers, then the surprise of what you might get on completing a quests. Then on the weekends they have special questing where you get better rewards and chances of winning something rare-and that's when you hope it's something that you can participate in. It's not all about questing either, it's just a way to get sP{subeta Points}-Money, and items to sell to get more sP. You can have your own shop, and even more than one for specific things if you should so choose that. Maybe you want a store for just clothing, and another for minions; pet's pets. There's lots to explore, do, see and things to happen.

    More on the Game:

OK so there are pets, and pets have pets. Pets have food, and items. You have an avatar and it has items and clothing and gadgets. Well, see, what's cool about Subeta.. there is so much more to it than that. There always is. So let's see if I can hit most of the key points for you..
    Pets:

There are a lot of pets to choose from, 64 species with 8 limited edition and 1 special, and you can choose up to five when you start with 19 color schemes. There are also 30 unique experimental pet species. Each pet has an individual and unique name once you choose it, and paintbrushes can change the overall look of your pet!
There are pet spotlights that features a pet, and the pet's owner.
    Your pets can have treasures/items.

Your profile has pictures of pets-You can change the head-shots.
They will not die if you do not feed them, but you can choose what to feed them and it will be displayed.
You can get armor for your pet, and train them. [You can put armor in the armory and they can be trained at the gym in Riverside]

    Pet - Wyllop

    Items:

There is a plethora of items, just about. You can meld differing items together at Genetech Labs and make something new, books to collect and cards to trade. Sometimes something that doesn't look like something obvious is a piece of clothing, or something else. There are at least 5,000 items to pick and choose from and many of them are grouped in themes like Dawn, Twilight, Dark Matter and more; each with their own look.

String of wire, when put into the wardrobe and worn turns into a pair of glasses.

A piece of leather and buttons, becomes a vest.

There are items that you can collect as well, like stickers to put in your sticker album and plushies to put into your plush collection. You have a human avatar too that you can really show off, there are lots of items that can be a background, held, worn, or be an accessory with the avatar. Quests, events, and shops will all give you many options to get items to start building up your inventory, wardrobe and collections. The wizard machine in different areas on the map will also get you items, though you need tokens for that.

    Quests:

There are different regions on the map and each differing region will give a different quest giver. Each region will also ask for different items, and give out different kinds of items. Each time that you complete a request, you get sP, and sometimes an item and you'll move up a level with that quest giver. After so many levels you will gain awards particular to that quest giver. Events happen often and are broadcasted in the news, which is often updated frequently if not daily.

    Awards:

There are many awards you get for so many things, completing quests, buying things, selling things, doing things, participating in events, talking to people, giving things, getting things. Really, there are so many little things to do and find out on the site, it kind of prompts you to explore.

There are many games to choose from to play, Battle Coliseum, Beanbag Collections, Blackout, Bones, Card Collections, Card Crusade, Dark Matter Dice, Decanter of Indestructibility, EPICon, Fishing, Item Drive, Item Hunt, Item Scramble, Leviathan Harpooning, Mind Reader, Mystic Spindles, Omen Raiders, Plushy Collections, Potion Lottery, Random, Reading Contest, Reflection, Rock Paper Scissors, Safe Crack, Scratchcards, Slots, Spectrail, Stargazer, Sticker Album, Stock Market, Subeta Tiles, Treasure Maps, Trivia. All of these games will earn you sP and possibly awards or items to put in collections.
Overall there is a lot to do and see and keep you busy. Subeta has a friends list feature, which is really cool. You can also customize the layout of how your profile page appears to you and other people. When you have friends in your list and log on, you'll see what they did in the side bar, as well if anthing sold in your store if you've got one or if a gift was sent to you!

Score: 99% - Just because it's not everyones 'cup of tea', though I find the site quite well done.
