To Anyone Who Uses Paypal! Warning on a Rule!

Neopoints? I'm am discussing about real money. I don't think I've seen any board on here selling art for a site currency that allows it...

I usually just offer to pay the charge when I'm on the buying end, and a lot of times the people I sell to also offer to pay that fee. I can understand why this might be an issue when it comes to not informing the buyer, but most of my dealings are with friends, or friendly people whom I don't mind covering or don't mind covering me.

I suppose I consider it a tip if the buyer pays the fees? /: For small purchases especially, I just consider it a compliment to the artist if the buyer is satisfied. Most artists hardly charge their worth on these boards anyhow.

Really I don't mind if the buyer take it on themselves to pay the fee, but buyers are just not allowed to be asked to pay the fees. If the seller even sets up their price that covers the fee without being obvious then I can't stop that either. Since technically that's allowed.

Yeah that's what I was trying to say. I figure if I'm satisfied with something purchased, I'll tip some extra to cover the fees and just make the person more willing to work with me in the future. Also, I think that's because if artists charged their worth, they wouldn't get much business. =/ And that unfortunately is just economics really.

This situation has never came up ever in the marketplace.

I'm of the same mind as K.aeliah, I also pay the fee myself of my own volition when purchasing artwork from users :3

And also the point isn't the fact that the price is higher.... You can always include it in your price, just paypal doesn't want people to be discouraged from using paypal because of the fee and at the same time it allows the user to know the exact price from the start.
