@Toad , but I did tell you I would check. I also said I couldn't give you the answers though so to have him message me. Anyway, like Joy said we just can't talk to you about another user's account. By far the biggest reason is respect for their privacy, but think of it this way too:
We have lives outside Paladore. We have families, jobs, school and schoolwork, we are users/gamers as well and want to play our own game from time to time, and we have much more mod work to do than the users ever see us doing because it's behind the scenes.
So say Joy does something to get herself banned. I hear she got banned and want to know the details because I think I have a good argument on her behalf. I send a user support. Ole is just kind of wondering because he has been hearing a lot of rumors and would like us to clear something up. He sends a user support. Then Joy herself sends one too because it's her account and she has questions or concerns. Our workload has just tripled from this one incident alone.
That's not to say we wouldn't respond to the first two, even with as little info as we could actually give out, but it does start to get ridiculous when people who aren't involved want to involve themselves without knowing the details of what happened in the first place. 99 times out of 100 it doesn't help anything for anyone involved and it takes time away from other user supports we have piling up, or reports, or new features, palamails from users with questions, checking the SB and forums, etc., etc. And remember that we are taking time out of our own game playing to do all this for free.
I have no problems with you at all, Toad. I agree that you are a good and important member of the community. It's just that I keep seeing and hearing about these big rants from you on how we are not meeting what sound to me like demands to answer your questions or change things back to how you want them. Resorting to assuming the worst when we can't answer you or it's not the best use of our time doesn't sound like the best way to figure out what is actually happening. It get’s exasperating at times especially since everything the mods do is an effort to help the site improve and stay peaceful.
Edit to say:
I forgot to respond to this. I never once said your arguments were invalid because you were friends with him. Even in the snippet that was posted I said that nobody was saying anyone's opinions were invalid. Also, Twin and I NEVER camped. We were NEVER associated with the campers in ANY WAY and we have only been communicating with each other. You also assumed that, so we're both faulty in assuming things.
What we were saying in regards to the mini-bosses is that nothing new was being said and the comments were little more than whining (as another user called it) and complaining because people didn't get their way. There were some pretty mean comments about how anyone who wanted to finish a quest or catch Inpu was a baby who needed the game spoon-fed to them just because they don't have all day long to play Paladore, too. There were no calm, respectful discussions about it at that point, if there ever had been. Despite us explaining over and over again that most of the users were unhappy with the mini-bosses as they were before the change, those 10 or so users who were mad wouldn't listen to what we were saying or even try to see why it had to be changed. It was just ranting from the same people over and over, accomplishing nothing and creating a hostile environment in the shoutbox.
If we didn't think your opinions were valid we wouldn't have bothered explaining over and over why the bosses were changed and that the majority of the site's users were happier now. Also, I have already said more than once that Nick was right and it wasn't only friends of the campers who were mad. I said that right after I said that it was their friends too. I don't know why this keeps coming up when I already agreed it was technically not just those people. That was the case for most of the people complaining, but not all. I believe you when you say you never camped. But you were still only a few people complaining versus a huge amount who were complaining before. We wish we could make everyone happy, but we can't always.
