    Off-site chat rooms links - Paladore.com

We have another new rule for you today: Privacy Rule.

For your own protection, Users are not allowed to post links to off-site chat rooms or give out personal information like MSN, Yahoo, Skype, Facebook etc anywhere on site. You are not allowed to give out your home address, phone number, email or any type of personal information. We can not moderate or control what happens offsite whether it be in a private chat or a meet up, so we ask all users to communicate through Paladore only so we can support you should you need it.

Please make sure you read it and acknowledge it. We cannot moderate issues that appear off site so we are not invoking this rule to help protect our users. If you need more clarification, you can use User Support and we will be happy to sort it out for you.

What does everyone think about this rule change? Was it something that you weren't expecting?

It was something I didnt see coming, I never thought that paladore would stop people sharing personal information such as email addresses at their own risk.

I definitely think this is a bad move for Paladore.
I'm sure there are reasons for it however.

What happens if you break this rule? I think it should be up to the user to share personal information.

I can understand home addresses, phone numbers, and maybe even Facebook accounts, but Instant Messengers?

Isn't Paladore moving to be COPPA compliant? If so, that might be the reason for the change.

Im sure that Ole has a valid reason for this rule being introduced. the COPPA not being It, I think it more for the user security and safety.
