Boo! Artists Needed!

BooPets is looking for artists! We are looking for talented individuals to join our team and complete a variety of artwork. There are both temporary and permanent positions available, so whether you some things to do over the next few weeks or are looking to join the team long-term, we are open to you!

Right now we need several item artists and human avatar artists. Compensation is $2.50/item and $1-$2.50 per avatar clothing/accessory/feature. Recolors are $.25-$.50/recolor depending on complexity. We are only looking to fill these two positions at this time but more may be available in the future. Artists who jump on the team will need to follow the style guide and are expected to accept corrections and critiques from the lead artist. If you are new to doing petsite art, this is a great opportunity for you to learn.

A lot. Enough to keep you busy if you so choose. Several hours' worth, enough to give somebody looking for a lot of work... well... enough to give them a lot. Haha.

I only work in a 2x the final size canvas, otherwise I feel like I'm wasting my time with details. xD

Sorry, I should have mentioned this.

Final outline size for items is 1px (excluding the "stroke" step at the end,) so you'd work with a 2px brush. I would prefer that 4x size is used (working quickly and fluidly without stressing the details is one of the reasons for such a large size) but if your work is outstanding I suppose exceptions could be made. As for the avatar clothing, the brush outline width is around 7px working size, I believe, and around 2px finished, but I might be mistaken. I just ask that avatar artists try and match the outlines' thickness to the avatar's outline thickness.

I don't work in excessively large files. I find that it wastes a lot of my time. There is a lot of space I'd have to cover when drawing that is pointless if the file is a third the size.
I might hit you up with some examples this evening if I get the time <3

I suppose to each his or her own! The large file size is mainly so that you can be fast and fluid without having to waste time being "perfect."

I... I actually want to help. It's for Boopets for crying out loud! However, I'm going to have problems with payment. I don't have Paypal or any means of getting money online because my dad won't get me one until I graduate - no matter how many times I tell him about the pros about getting me one. >A>

Well I'm sure Paul would be able to work something out, or you could work for site credit, or some other accommodation could be made. I can't /guarantee it/ but there's the possibility of working for, say, a walmart gift card or an amazon gift card or something. I'm not sure. If you're interested I could definitely bring it up to @PaulSonny, if he doesn't read this by then. He'd be the one to talk to but I could bring it up either way.
