A funny image on today's rappers

Discussion in 'The Playhouse' started by cpvr, Jun 2, 2012.

  1. Well, I just recently came across this image on today's rappers, and I thought I'd share it as it as some good viewpoints.

What does everyone think about this funny image on today's rappers? Do you find it to be true?

  2. What's funny is, I barely know any of them.
Rapping is rarely my kind of music, when it comes down to it - My rap is Lupe Fiasco and Eminem. And some Hollywood undead if I feel like it.
  3. All those rappers that were listed in the image, can't screw with Eminem. Eminem would rap circles around him.

    Damn Straight.
    Tbh, I only know lil wayne because his face is everywhere whether I like it or not. And Soulija Boy, all the kids were singing superman. For like 2 weeks straight. ^^;
If I had to tolerate a Lil wayne song it would be 'How to Love' and 'No Love' with him and Eminem.

  5. Lil Wayne has some nice tracks under his belt, but he knows better to ever go at EM. EM is one of the best rappers alive and always will be. He's the only rapper that can talk shit about himself, his family, and also make caring tracks. He can also hop on any track and make it good. I'm going to be honest, his freestyles on 8 mile were pretty epic.

Here some good freestyles I found by EM

"My face is pale, but you look like you see a ghost!"

  6. Don't shoot me, but I haven't actually gotten around to watching 8 mile.
  7. It looks pretty good xD
  8. It is, you should try to watch it someday. It might be available on Netflix.

  10. Only one I know of is Soulja Boy and I know of him because he wrote a song that had to do with hating our military men and women. I found it ironic given that his name is Soulja Boy. Anyone know if they ever banned his CD from commisaries or not?
  11. I believe they did. http://www.bet.com/news/music/2011/09/08/soulja-boy-officially-banned-by-military.html
They was also this "diss" track by one of our armed troops.

That's not the full version, but its out there somewhere, and the full version is 3:39 minutes.

    Then this is another one.

Yeah I saw that news update. What confused me is it says that if the track was on the album they were going to ban it. That track isn't on the album though. I wonder if they banned it anyway. Hooray if they did and pft *laugh* free performance for the military... yeah they'll appreciate that lol watch your back Soulja Boy if you do lol.

  13. He's an idiot for even dissing them in the first place. He's not a true soldier, he got rich at the age of 16, and blew up fast.

And seriously, he has no respect for anyone - he even dissed an old-school rapper called "Iced T"
    This is the video:

  16. The other reasons?

    1) The amount of copyright infringement in remixed songs.
    2) The amount of useless lyrics which waste talent and time. (yoyo i gotta get meh drugz niggeltz how u doin blahal iz a rapper totz)

Though you continue to ignore me, @cpvrcpvr, Sage Francis is the only rapper I like aside from Eminem that does not act like or do any of this. :)

  17. I've never heard of Sage
  18. That's because I can relate to Sage's music. It sounds good but I can't get into it for some reason. I like Eminem though, he's one of the best people to ever freestyle.
