Are you scared of the dentist

Discussion in 'Health' started by cpvr, Jun 21, 2012.

  1. Well, I just saw a latest facebook status, and the girl is 18. She said that's she still afraid of the Dentist - so thus, are you afraid of the dentist as well? Or do you like dentists?

Personally, they don't scare me or anything, I love going. I also had my wisdom teeth pulled a few months and that really hurt XD.

So, anyone here have good or bad experiences due to a dentist? Post here, and let's talk about dentists!

  2. My dentist is my best friend! LOL no.

But my dentists have been really chill and awesome people, and I love talking to them. They keep confusing my age though, haha. :p

I found out recently I actually don't have any wisdom teeth and won't have anything to pull out... YAY!

  3. My dentist is nice. We talk about pokemon lols.

I need to get my wisdom teeth pulled...They tried to schedule it on my birthday O_e...

  4. Lol, i'm not scared of them but that doesn't mean I like them.
Once a dentist was performing a filling or something when I was young and she cut alot of my lips and gums which was pretty deep.

  5. I've never been to the dentist. XP

  6. I've only gotten a mild burn that healed once from one, but not so much afraid of them as of their bill :/
I do need to go soon (I have one unpulled wisdom tooth I need removed still at 28!)

  7. How come you didn't get them all pulled at the same time? I had all four of mine removed. XD

  8. @ZyzivaZyziva- So do you want to remove your tooth or have to? I plan to keep mine as long as they don't cause me problems. X3 (I have all four and the fourth is finally breaking through the last of the gum)

  10. Mine didn't fit but I don't have insurance or anything and I was supporting my mom and brother at the time. Now... I don't have to but just make less money :/

I guess I might as well wait for an upcoming software job with dental benefits now.
    Well, hopefully, eventually, anyway.

  11. So weird, mine are the same exact way! xD

I used to have an absolutely horrible and painful dentist, but since we went to the dentist up the block, it's been a lot easier, thankfully, I don't mind going <3

  12. Yes I am terrified of the dentist. I never used to be but I had to get 4 teeth out, she put numbing cream on me before she stuck the needle in, it wasn't numb when she stuck the needle in. The pain was that bad, and I felt the liquid run around inside my gums. It was horrible.

  13. @SirkowskiiSirkowskii - That's like.. the perfect birthday present ever. XDDD

Anyway, I have mixed feelings. I'm not afraid at all if it's just for check-ups and cleaning, but the thought of having my wisdom tooth pulled out.. *shudders* e_e

I don't even know if I have a wisdom tooth! D: My dentist never mentions it, so I'm hoping that means I don't have any?? Oh the suspense..
