What do you think is the best hosting company out there? I personally like justhost!
I just started using MDD Host and they have been great so far.
I've had mostly good experiences with BlueHost, but I've also had my share of bad experiences with them.
It depends what kind of hosting you want. There are some good free hosts.
Asmallorange is the best hosting company out there.
@Lewis @Julia why do you guys like your hosting companies?
I heard that host gator is good.
HostGator is no longer owned by Brent, and has been sold to BlueHost, actually. (This is recent, within the last week or so)
Curious to how things will flow now.
I really like this hosting - http://mediatemple.net/
I used them before and little to no downtime .
well worth the price .
Do you have a link to this by any chance? Edit found it http://digitalgyaan.com/hostgator-s...aign=hostgator-sold-endurance-endurance-group
Hostgator was sold for $225 million
I hate bad experiences with Hostgator as well. Such a shame. They used to disable certain scripts that I had that were using a lot of resources - even on a dedicated server. @Patrick has had bad experiences with them as well.
I heard about that!
I'm curious also. :3
I guess we will see?

@Lewis But aside from their customer service, how do you like OVH? Are they just a better managed host all around?
I also dislike GoDaddy and HostGator. They are ridiculously overrated.
I'm using 000webhost and I'm thinking that this is a pretty nice web hosting provider
I use 000webhost as well, haha, but I'm not doing anything particularly fancy on them. But the uptime has been fantastic on it so far.
Uptime is always a major winner with me, which is I personally love Knownhost I've been with them for about a year now. Their support is good as well.
I've only worked with Bluehost and JustHost, but when I release my site, I'll be going with a different hosting company to put it on a dedicated server depending on the initial user base.
Oh and Bluehost and Justhost... had no problems. Of course they are the same company XD But they are amazing at support!
Do you know what dedicated server company you might go with yet?
By my personal experience i will suggest 9CubeHosting.com they are indeed doing good service in hosting and they provide excellent customer service and support.
000webhost is the best free host in my opinion, second would be x10hosting imo. However, 000 is blocked by AT&T service providers. They blocked it because apparently they were trying to stop DDoS attacks coming from the site.
