Green bars under username

Discussion in 'Updates And Feedback' started by Lewis, Jul 31, 2012.

  1. What are the green bars under everyone's usernames and how do you get more?

Your banner/button can be located here for an entire month or year, please see our advertising on virtualpetlist thread for more information.

  2. Seems to be your aura.
    Apparently yours is spectacular.

  3. I think its how active you are if I recall.

  4. I never noticed there were different amounts of them. I thought it meant the user was online.

Yours says that you're on a distinguished road.

@MichiMichi do you know how it's calculated?

  5. I always thought it was based on your reputation? Like from getting/giving thanks, from doing good things, etc..?

  7. @Lewis
Thanks! I actually might turn mine off too.

Well I know sometimes admins or buyers/sellers can give reputation. I only saw it once or twice where after I purchased/sold something I was prompted if I wanted to give them reputation (I like that feature but it doesn't appear anymore..?).
    And
@cpvr gave me some rep for posting something helpful once, and it was more than just a point or two.

  8. I've seen them but never really thought about them before. //posting since I'm too lazy to find another post of mine so I can see my bar xD

"You currently have 152 reputation points."
Does this help anyone at all? lol

  9. I guess it all depends on people giving your posts thanks and whatnot. That's the only thing that makes sense to me. Maybe @cpvrcpvr knows more.

  10. I think I've removed mine ... the last thing I would want someone to believe is me being helpful :p

  11. You can add/remove reputation points from users by clicking on the icon to the right of the Thanks link.

  12. Thank you. I thought that icon was something for moderating because it's between the IP and infraction icons for me.

  13. It is reputation, basically if you thank someone or want to thank them for a post (using the star image) it gives them rep every 100 points you get another bar. I think it goes up to around 1100 for bars.

  14. Hmmmm..... interesting. I never really paid attention to the lil' green bar. *Pokes at it*

  15. @LewisLewis You can turn off the feature in your user cp. But when someone finds that your post is helpful to them, they can "Thank" the post, or click the icon to add to your rep. When I see a user helping out, I tend to thank them via the rep icon and/or the thanks feature. @Pepper-HeadPepper-Head You're right. It's a good way of users giving back to those that help them out.

  16.

  17. Says I shall soon be famous lol

  18. I was wondering what that was. When I logged in the box in the lower left said my reputation had changed. I thought it was something to do with the art/buyer mod that people use and was confused. "But I haven't sold any art or bought anything! Who's reviewing me!?"
