Huge ART SALE! Pets, Items, Maps & NPCs!

Discussion in 'Completed Transactions' started by Ilenora, Jul 28, 2012.

  1. This is my first time posting an actual thread, so just let me know if I did anything wrong...

    Hi guys!

Okay, so all the art you will find below was done for a site called HavenPets, which I volunteered for quite a number of years ago and over time I drew quite a number of things for the game. Unfortunately, the founder recently decided to shut down the project before it was finished due to lack of funds, motivation, time and ideas and gave the rights to the art back to me. I felt it was a shame to see it just lying around on my computer, as I have no use for it, so I decided that I would at least offer it up for sale here. I would love if at least some of it could be useful for others ^_^

Just a bit of general information:

    • I am willing to negotiate and offer deals for multiple purchases :D
    • Unless otherwise noted with a *, all of these come with layered PSD files of varying, but all quite large, sizes
    • I will supply you with the PSD files through email
    • All prices in AUD. I accept payment through PayPal
    • You are free to use and edit the image(s) however you like, just don't resell them
    • I can make edits to the art, but depending on what you want done, edits may come with an extra fee
    • Some of the art was drawn years ago, so please excuse some of the... lesser quality art here :p I kept the prices very low for the old stuff. The maps and NPCs are the newest

    Now, onto the actual art!

    All pets sold.

A banner set, including day-time, night-time and winter versions.

Anthro NPCs - the last one comes with a highly detailed candy store background.

Male and female anthro characters, originally drawn as customisable user shop keepers. They come with everything shown, neatly drawn and layered to mix and match on the figure.

Old artwork, so there are some anatomy issues. The last three were drawn as a set, but you can get them separately. * NOTE - #3 has no PSD file, just a PNG (with white background). This one is really only of use if you plan on using it as-is, or it would also be used as a base to trace over.

Various items, lots of old stuff, but there are some newer ones like the plushies and Halloween set.

Let me know if you're interested in anything! Remember, I'm very negotiable, so feel free to make an offer :D
If you don't see anything you like, I'm also open for commissions, so just get in touch if you are interested in commissioning me for something specific.

  5. Oh, wow, thank you, that means a lot! Because I've been looking at a lot of the artists here - including you, because I absolutely love your maps - and thinking that the quality of the art was a lot better than mine. So thank you! :D
I have had excellent results so far with the sale, though - several people have already contacted me, so I think it's going pretty well ^_^

  7. Oh wow, I got down to the banners and was like.. "I recognise those.."

I talk to the developer of HP on a regular basis, it's sad he decided to shut down the project. Good luck selling your art, although I'm not sure you'll need it :D
  8. @shiinxashiinxa - hehe, you're welcome, and thanks again :D I watched you on DA ^_^

  9. Hehe, what a coincidence :D Where you called Abbey on HavenPets? Because I think I remember seeing you on there.
It is a shame, but he is considering making a different sort of game in the future :)
  10. I most probably was called Abbey on there xD I keep trying to convince him to make another game, I'm not sure if he just lost his enthusiasm for HP or pet sites altogether though :-\
  11. Probably, I think I recall an Abbey :p
Well, from what he told me, I think he lost enthusiasm for pet sites in general, at least as far as making them. But he did mention the idea of working on a different style of game in the future. I suggested the idea of using Kickstarter to get some funding for another game so that it's easier to hire artists, etc. I've seen people do that and it usually turns out quite well :D
  12. I'll take the planet map. Could you possibly PM me a larger version of the 2 city maps? I can't make out some of the buildings on there. :p
  13. I'll actually take both city maps as well. XD
  14. Just a note: It is against the Kickstarter rules to use it for anything that needs constant upkeep - like a web business :p.
  15. @BedouinBedouin - I am sending you a PM ^_^ Thanks!

  16. Ah, right. I wouldn't know the rules - Kickstarter can't be used in Australia :p But it can't even be used as to simply get the initial funds to hire people to create assets for a pet game? And does that even count as a 'web business'?
  17. I don't think it can be, unfortunately. I was looking into using it for one of my games. I think the idea is that in the end there's no "finished product" to physically send out.

From the Kickstarter "rules": "A project has a clear goal, like making an album, a book, or a work of art. A project will eventually be completed, and something will be produced by it. A project is not open-ended. Starting a business, for example, does not qualify as a project."

And I know I saw somewhere else them specifically stating no web businesses or things that need constant upkeep, but its formatted differently than last time, so maybe they re-worded it?
  18. Good luck! I hope they sell well :)

  20. Hmm, okay... I thought I'd seen Kickstarter funding used for virtual reasons, but maybe I'm wrong? I know there are a lot of rules and regulations when you use Kickstarter, so you'd have to look through all the fine print to find out :p
