My anniversary, one year, with my girlfriend is coming

Discussion in 'General Discussion' started by cpvr, Jul 21, 2012.

  1. So, I've been thinking long and hard what to do for my girlfriend when our one year anniversary comes in August. I was thinking about buying her a bundle of roses, a happy anniversary card, and taking her to a hotel for the night, or weekend so we can have a lot of alone time.

Our anniversary is August 3. It'll mark one year.
But, has anyone here recently celebrated an anniversary? If so, what did you do? What do you think would be good for an anniversary celebration?

  2. I also suggest sneaking in come chocolates and hide them until she wakes up in the morning and finds them on her pillow.
  3. That's a really good idea. ^.^ I like that one.:D
  4. Make sure its her favorite ones too. I would also suggest not using the box they came in, but getting some color shrink wrap and some ribbon and wrap the chocolates into little baggies and make a heart or the shape of her head with them.
  5. Ya, I will make sure of that. What about balloons? I think those would be nice too, and possibly those little roses that you can put on the bed.
  6. Yeah those will work as well. ^^ '

I also suggest buying flower petals (roses preferred, but you can use her favorite flower if its something else) in the hotel room leading to the tub. Light some candles in there, and give her a sponge bath. *reads too many romance novels*
  7. I think balloons kind of kill the romance thing, but I love all the other ideas :D
  8. Why's that? It's somewhat a good idea "Happy anniversary", I don't like balloons but she does.

That's exactly what I was thinking about, I could also buy those bubble baths thing. I hate the smell of candles though. If I have enough money, I could also buy her some perfume.
  9. @cpvrcpvr I guess that would be personal preference on my part. I love balloons, but I wouldn't like them for an anniversary...they seem cheesy to me. But if she likes 'em, by all means get 'em! :)

  10. What do you think about buying her something sexy from Victoria's secret or something? I know she shops there sometimes, and I could probably get her something that she'd really loved. This is our first anniversary we've ever celebrated together. When its a monthly anniversary, we really don't do much except sit at home and watch TV.

  11. Could try incense instead. Or get the battery candles to give the illusion of candles there.
  12. Definitely Victoria's Secret :D and yes to candles, omg.
@MichiMichi I think you know better what a woman wants than most women, haha. Or me at the very least :)

  13. It's one of her favorite stores as well. XDD I know that for a fact.

I like that, thanks. Do you know where I'll be able to find those though?

  14. Walmart would be your best bet. Any retail store should have them I think.

  15. Just to let everyone know that we did have a great anniversary, and we also had candles. @MichiMichi
I didn't get the chance to buy her roses, but I did take her out to eat, and we got a nice hotel room with a hot tub in it. She was pretty happy about it all, so my work was complete.:D

  16. That's great! ^^
  17. Awwww lol *sarcastic voice*

Take her out on a vacation out of the country to a place like Dominican Republic or Cuba. If you can afford it.
  18. I wish I could. I'm thinking about taking a vacation back home in November before my birthday. She might not go because she doesn't have any vacation days, but she will next year. So, we'll see.
