Recommended sites for a Neopets lover?

Discussion in 'Virtual Pets Chat' started by streakanime, Jul 4, 2012.

  1. Neopets is really the only virtual pet site that I have stuck with for years and years. I played Gaia off and on for a while... But the community is way too broad for me. It is so easy to get lost and the people are never very friendly. I like pet sites that are very social and welcoming. I've also played on Leopets. I have tried Aywas, but I did not really like it. I think I remember trying something called Subeta too. But, my interest with that did not last very long. If you have any recommendations, I would love to hear them. Thanks! ;)

  2. Are you looking for a big site?
Ichumon or Verpets are sites you can also try.
  3. Icepets might be good.
  4. Paladore is a nice site, or so I think c: The community is great and friendly, there's always people who will help you if you're stuck.. There's a lot to do there, should keep ya entertained for a while XD
  5. Hi there @streakanimestreakanime, there are lots of sites to try, though it seems you've dipped your toes into a few already. Without knowing exactly what you want from a site it's hard to give better recommendations. Is there a feature or features you particularly want?

Without knowing more I'll go ahead and recommend Grophland (bias warning, it's my site) where the community is very friendly and welcoming. Give us a go.

  6. I am not even too sure what kind of features I am after. I am just looking for a place with a friendly and welcoming community.

I appreciate all the suggestions guys! So many wonderful sounding virtual pet sites that I have never heard of. Hopefully I will get to bump into some of you on some of these sites and we can be friends.
  7. Have you looked into Aywas? Or boopets?
  8. I would have said maybe Marapets (www.marapets.com) or Subeta (www.subeta.net) just cause those were the two I went to when I started to get bored with Neopets.

And I'm pretty sure Marapets's advert was 'Bored with Neopets? Try Marapets!'
  9. With that being said, Powerpets would also be a good site to check out.
  10. Come join me on Aywas (link in siggie). I use Neopets still and so do some other Aywas users, but it is a safe haven. Otherwise I would suggest Icepets because it does have the same kind of feel as Neo, but better crowds.

If you're stuck on Aywas you can hit me up on (#37548), I know the newbie guides are a little hard to follow.

  12. Icepets. Better community, better pets. Better people. Better everything XD
  13. It shall have a lot more things to do whenever the name change happens. I'm quite impressed in how much it has grown over the years. The future is bright for them. @ClawsClaws @MichaelMichael

  14. It depends on what you enjoy on Neopets.

Aywas would be great if you more enjoy working with pet colors, since there's so many different combinations to choose from.

Paladore would be good if you're more into collecting, battling, and competition.

If you're looking for a more overall Neopet-like experience, then pretty much any of the older pet sites like Powerpets or Marapets would be great.

If you want that experience but don't care about size, then I'd probably recommend Icepets, Boopets, or Misticpets.
