I just got an alert about Rift, the video game for PC and I thought I'd pass it on for those that are interested in PC gaming games.

I've played Rift for a while, both in beta and after the official release. It's quite a nice game, though some things are quite similar to WoW. It does have unique classes, but after two months of playing it got more boring than WoW. Though I'm not much into pvp and I hear that Rift is better in that than WoW.

Cpvr, you suggested that I come to this forum to talk about my MMOs and I find you've posted on one of the games that is currently holding my attention. I played Rift at beta, but cancelled my sub shortly after hitting level cap because my husband and I were moving to England. Now that we've been settled, I renewed my sub. It's a nice time killer. Luckily it doesn't suck away my life like WoW did for years. Leveling/questing can be a lot of fun. Rifts are fun at first, but can get pretty monotonous after a while, but I suppose anything can once you've done it hundreds of times. Most people do raiding, dungeons, and pvp once they are max level, but personally I enjoy searching for rare monsters and artifacts.
I haven't personally played it, but my husband is really enjoying The Secret World right now.
We are both looking forward to the release of Guild Wars 2 at the end of this month. We'll finally have something to play together. ;)
