    Virtual Pets

    Welcome to the Virtual Pet list forum!
    We're a virtual pets and sim games community and the largest forum in our industry. Game owners can use our forum to their advatange by promoting/advertising their games to our users and receive feedback/reviews from those members that try their games out. We support developers of all kinds from RPG developers, sim game developers to virtual pet site developers. We want to see more games in our industry come across more success and that's why we try our best to release as many guides/articles regarding online gaming development as we can.
    We're unlike other forums in our industry because we try our best to be there for our users no matter what and give them advice whenever they ask for it. Running an online game isn't an easy task, but with our many resources that we've built since 2011, you'll learn a lot from our online community. Please don't ever be afraid to ask a question on the forums because if you never ask, then you'll never receive an answer to your question and you can only improve by asking other users for help/advice.
    We have a lot of virtual pet sites' owners and sim game owners that are very frequent visitors on our online community. Along with artists, writers and programmers that come here looking for work and games to work for. Our members who are artists sell art in our art marketplace and programmers are allowed to sell their scripts in the programming marketplace. We also allow game owners to sell their game in our general marketplace
    In early 2011, we decided to make a comeback to the internet because in 2010, we had a minor setback and we had to re-launch without any content, but with a lot of time, patience, hardwork and effort, we've managed to rebuild the Virtual pet list community into something better than it was before. We actually registered our domain name on November 4th, 2004, but we were only a directory then and all we had was a basic comments system for users to post things on their favorite games..
    So, what are you waiting for, why don't you join today? If you have any problems figuring out our security code, then here's a hint, it has millions upon users and has been around since 1997.
    Our list of virtual pet sites and directory of sim games have a lot of different games listed, so we're pretty sure that you may find some games that suits your needs as a player of sim games or virtual pet sites.
    If you're still curious about a certain game that you'd like to play, then please check out some of our game reviews that were written by some of our great contributors and our interviews with respective virtual pet site owners, sim game owners, artists, writers and programmers that have worked in this industry.

    Expectations For Development Testing
    The development testing for Vmons.com will effectively start on May 20th. We have quite a few people that have signed up and we will be accepting a lot of people on the 20th at 12pm eastern standard time.

    The development phase will be lacking a lot of images for the adventure feature, but the adventure feature will be an exploration style feature. You can 'wander' and run into pets, battle them, and capture them. You will also find random items, including pet creation items. The battle feature may be released over the weekend instead of on the 20th exactly.

    Customizable pets! There will be 3 types of pet creation items. An item that will allow you to choose and create a standard pet with no customization options. An item that will allow you to create a pet which you will get to select various custom colors and markings for. Additionally the third type of pet creation item will allow you to upload a fully customized pet image within the rules of the item. This feature is done, the mission will be to create ways to get those items to the users. During development testing, players will get an item to create a pet they will color themselves.

    Players will be able to provide their referral links to other people so that they can instantly get an account.

    A big part of the site will be implementing features that users want. We are openly taking suggestions. There are a few features we want to implement, but we will not be implementing for a while due to limited financial means. If you have any suggestions, our contact page is up.

    Additionally, here is a pet teaser. If you're interested in being on Vmons.com during development, you can apply at http://www.vmons.com/register/.

    Cute pet- there are some color spills at the bottom of it though.
    I'd of appreciated some contact on whether or not you needed those images that I finished for you.
    None the less, good luck with the site.

    Re: Vmons.com:: What to Expect During Development Testing!

    I got that error to when I tired to apply! :(
    Fatal error: Call to a member function getUserName() on a non-object in /home/vmons/public_html/scripts/user/register.php on line 200

    I tried applying again and the two usernames I tried said they were already taken.. I hope that means that someone else has them instead of there being an error with my first two application using those usernames..
    The first time I used kristie91 it got the fatal error. Then I tried kristie and got the same fatal error. I tried to apply again twice with those usernames and now it says they are taken.

    Re: Vmons.com:: What to Expect During Development Testing!

    Well I imagine it would say something if it were closed but maybe..

    Okay I tried applying again.. to test out my theory..
    I applied with the username kurisutii...
    It came up with fatal error posted above..
    I then tried to apply again with the same username...
    It said it was already taken..
    I'm starting to see a pattern here..

    Re: Vmons.com:: What to Expect During Development Testing!

    @kristie91, @tittlemouse, @kristie91:
    It was just a typo that caused the error. The information seems to have mad it into the database. You will all receive an email when I activate account on Friday. It's fixed now.

    @kristie91:
    Additionally, yes, you did register three times. Only the first on you registered with will be accepted. No worries.

    @Lain:
    That is very accurate. xD

    Yeah looking at the pet, the yellow is leaking out of the bottom, but that is an easy fix.

    Sounds awesome so far.
    Although every time I sent an application to join
    with my hotmail address it says it was invalid. I decided to apply with my old
    yahoo address, which I've just realized I've lost the password. Do you think you can possibly
    send it to another email address for me or would you like me to reapply?
    The username was Better.

    @TheTeen
    I think @Metal.Knight can see @Bexxy 's post that is 2 ahead of yours, I don't think there is really a need to post pretty much the same thing she did.
